Gaethje's BJJ? Non-existent

That last takedown by Khabib, Gaethje sprawled perfectly. If it was any other fighter, Gaethje would’ve still been standing. Gaethje did what he supposed to do but that transition straight into an arm bar then into a triangle; fully in immediately; nobody in the world could’ve executed that perfectly but Khabib. With that being said; nobody has landed anywhere close to the strikes Gaejthe landed. Khabib ate more shots in the first round than his entire Ufc career. Let’s not pretend those leg kicks weren’t starting to add up. Khabib is the lightweight goat, but Gaethje is no bum.

This is why everyone was intrigued by the Khabib vs. Tony matchup. Tony has options once it hits the ground.

He said so himself he's not comfortable on his back. Proven to be very accurate.

I thought Gaethje was arguably winning the first round up until the last 40 seconds when Khabib finally landed the takedown and went to work.

I was expecting Gaethje to scramble more / be harder to hold down.

Khabib's first UFC triangle submission win (and his i think fifth or sixth triangle overall). Not sure if I've ever seen someone transition into a triangle straightaway like that off a takedown, but he made it look easy.

Flawless performance by Khabib, but Gathje's grappling caught my attention. Dude looked like an amateur on the ground. Now, listen, I know Khabib is the best grappler in the division (maybe in the whole roster!) but I was at least expecting Justin to show some knowledge there.

Gaethje made McGregor's defensive grappling/BJJ look black belt level.
Maybe because mcgregor ground game is way better thzn what people think? Pretty sure it is
