Gaethje plans to confront winner immediately

I honestly can’t stand Justin. He is just one of the most overrated fighters out there.

?

Overrated how? You don't think he's a top 5 LW? Why don't you share your UFC top 5 LW that you think are above him.

Overrated means people think he's a better fighter than he is in relation to his ranking. Are you disputing this?

Yes he’s overrated. Look at his wins. The best win he has is against an over the hill Tony. I would take Dustin, Oliveira, Islam, and Conor over him. Chandler would have beat him too, if he didn’t go in there with a dumbass game plan.

What blows my mind about Justin the most is that everyone will try and play to his strengths. The only one that didn’t do that was Khabib’s, and he made it look incredibly easy, even for Khabib.

One more reason to root for Poirier.

Just take a couple fucking English classes and you're good to make yourself understandable for let's say 80% of the viewers watching.

It really isn't that hard. If I was a fighter and Spanish/Portugese was the used language for sporting events I'd take a couple of those too.

So you rank him what 6th based on your opinion? Still not the definition of overrated. You won't find a single person on this forum that is saying "he's the uncrowned champ!"

And calling Tony over the hill is pretty funny considering he was on a 12 fight win streak going into that fight. Justin took his soul.

Pretty much everyone considers him a top 10 or top 5 fighter. And frankly he beat the shit out of Chandler. Saying Chandler "should" have won means nothing. Chandler has had the same fighting style pretty much his entire career. Different game plan? lol I don't think so

Also Mcgregor is shot... I'd agree that McGregor of a few years ago, the guy that wiped out Alvarez would probably put Justin away but today?

Dustin and Oliviera are already ranked above him. Islam has exactly one top 10 win currently.

When someone on here says a fighter is "overrated" it helps if you provide context.

Poirier already whooped him, i guess he can demand his rematch.

My definition of overrated is just different than yours I guess. It’s not just about his ranking, but also the perception that people have about his skills. You may disagree, but to me he is the least skilled guy in the top 5, probably even the top 10.

His biggest advantage is his toughness, and his ability to get other fighters to brawl with him. If his opponents had fought him smart like Khabib did, I don’t think he be anywhere near the position he is in right now.

Maybe give then a couple minutes to enjoy the win you selfish prick.

I can see him jumping in the instant they get their hands raised.
Fuck that, as soon as the fight is stopped he should go over the wall.

Element of surprise is key.

I think the hardcore fans clearly want that fight - I sure do - but no way it sells half of what Conor Poirier 4 does and Dana already said Conor gets the rematch when he is ready (forecast mid year). I think a big factor too is Conor only has two fights left on his contract, so the UFC has to maximize those profits and Conor DP is by far the biggest fight UFC can make, plus the fact that they also want to keep Conor relatively happy so that he resigns/does not compete against them. I would imagine Poirier wants the fight too: 10x the pay and much easier fight (higher reward x lower risk). If Conor, Poirier and the UFC all want it, chances are it happens.
In Conor's last 2 fights he was knocked out and stretchered out.

He is 1-3 at 155 and 1-4 overall since he beat Eddie in 2016, and he was stopped in every one of those losses.

I don't think even Dana's greedy ass would actually book Conor for a title fight at this point without at least 1 win. Sure they would make money, but EVERYONE would be calling them out on their bullshit and blatant absurdity.

I don't disagree at all with you. My point is that most of the people on here tend to have the same opinion about him, tough, exciting to watch but flawed.

I don't think Khabib fought smart against him though. Khabib fought him the same way he fought every other opponent. It just happens to be a very effective skillset.

I dunno if we have signatures anymore but a Tekashi 69 avatar will suffice
