I am rooting for Justin but I just watched the press conference and Justin has damage his eyes his voice its off

I think Gaethje didn't sleep since he is in the UAE. I think a week before the fight is a bad choice because of jetlag.

Call me crazy but it's pretty counter productive to point out CTE in a sport where people get feet, shin, elbows, fists & knees to the cranium.

Most or all of them do. You're failing to acknowledge that CTE is a super broad designation, and that some with it will never see symptoms with it. And others will be heavily affected. That being said Justin went a long time having a style tailor made to receive damage even in victory. Thankfully for him he's fighting smarter these days. Go look at george chuvalo, still pretty together at an advanced age after a career noted for being able to absorb an incredible beating. But on the opposite end you had guys like Ali who's brain damage spurred on symptoms of parkinson into his old age. Or Gary Goodridge, who has to be on a host of medication just to try and feel somewhat normal from all the brain damage he's suffered, and likely will not lead a prosporous life as his age advances into only his 50's. It's a complicated topic. Hell I probably have some sort of CTE from 16 years of youth amateur hockey that involved no restriction on hits, or hits to the head really like they do today. Also Jordan Parsons was diagnosed with it post mortem with only a 14 fight career at 25 years old.

Every combat sports athlete has some form of CTE.

They take strikes to the head for a living.

His mum mentioned him having apparently having notebooks of nothing but his signature. Don't wanna fighter bash but he seems slightly you know.

Yup, it’s pretty much common sense to expect cte from a sport where one of your goals is to separate your opponent from consciousness.

Hockey is still dangerous as fuck, lots of kids getting concussions at bantam and midget age. I know a couple juniors who missed most of last season due to concussion issues as well.
