FX's FARGO Discussion Thread

I don't have it. But I might get it for a month just to see season 1. Anything else must see n there?

I think you can get a month free trial if you haven't before.

Rick and Morty
South Park
Simpsons

A ton of good shows are on there. Well worth it IMO.

Thanks guys, definitely gonna check it out

Binge watched Fargo over the last few days and finally caught up. Great show.

I wasn't fond of Dodd but he won me over in that episode, his line about how the devil is a woman cracked me up.

James Gunn (writer-director of Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2) tweeted:

This is my next binge watch. Once I'm done with Tudors

Did the screw up the finale scene of the burial, by having the DAD actor as a damn pallbearer?

Is it possible that Hanzee was working on Floyd's orders to kill Dodd(her son) rather than rescue him?

His identity was gone. Showcased from the Vietnam vet / no respect thing at the bar of hicks. He fought back vs just taking it.

Also, I feel like he didn't care much about the Butcher family, since he was most LIKELY aware they were just bystandards, and not, how Dodd made him lie, some "sleeper" assassins.

Edit: also, if he actually got his hair cut, I wouldn't have been surprised that even with losing his identity, he would have killed the family anyway. He just killed Dodd first to clear him out of the way to think about his options.

I can't imagine the focus on him in the newspaper was just a gimmick to get the cops to him. He must have seen it as well

Edit 2: how funny was "The Undertaker" coming in like some boogey man Chigur, and getting iced immediately :)

Edit 3: the first three episodes alone of this S2 series had more story and character development, and interesting shit happen then the entirety of True Detective Season 2.

I assumed it was going to be a younger version of Billy Bob's character from the first season...was hilarious how quickly he was disposed of after the build up

Martin Freeman!

I want that book!

Peggy is still awesome.

Either Ed or Peggy will end up killing Hanzee.
Lou's entire life went to shit that day, his wife's collapse (which he doesn't even know about), his father in law shot (hopefully they both live out the season), the motel massacre, and he was nearly strangled to death.
What's funny is the only Gerheart's that are still alive are the ones that did't kill anyone or order anyone killed (Bear's son and Dodd's younger daughters).
Another amazing episode, and we got the big shootout many people wanted to see.

Accurate title..Fargo is indeed the best show on tv. Just binge watched 8 episodes in laat couple days, show is off the chain!

Crazy episode. 'The Massacre at Sioux Falls' lived up to its name. Not sad the keystone cops died, was hoping for it actually. Hope Hank survives at the end of the episode. Martin Freeman as the guest narrator was awesome.

Would have preferred they didn't introduce the UFO element in the show but overall it doesn't bother me that much.

The narrator was asking when Hanzee decided to betray the Gerhardt and gave different possible answers. But the correct answer is when Hanzee visited the hotel and read the Self-actualization books.

And the reason why Hanzee has a hard time killing Peggy is because she is Realized, which is one step above Actualized.

The UFO scene was really stupid. They should have left that out. Other then that good episode but that UFO scene kind of ruined how great this show has been. They took a strange turn that wasn't needed.

Edit: rewatching the episode again I noticed the UFO sign in the store where the Indian grabbed the owners keys. Makes a little sense now even though it's a little far out there.

the UFO is a nod to a previous Coen brothers film called The Man Who Wasn't There.
