Fury's really not handling the loss well

You could well be right. Time will tell.

I can't stand Fury, for the record. He's a cheater, and vastly overrated, in my opinion. He should already have a loss on his record, but for the scandalous decision from Terry O'Connor.
The first McDermott fight? Yeah. That was a gift.

not to ignite this again, but a lot of people would say he should have lost the first Wilder fight as well

and the Wallin fight

he has been given plenty of chances has Mr Fury, luckily the 9th round incident didnt have a major bearing the Usyk fight

Have YOU ever been that wasted?
What a fucking disaster.
Once I was walking home but was so drunk and tired that I decided to sit down for a bit on a wall of a random garden. I woke up hours later at like 3am in the garden bed with rain hitting me in the face. That's probably the most hammered I've been in my life.

As others have said us English people like a drink.

Hopefully just letting loose for a bit before going back to training camp.

Yeah it’s fairly normal behaviour for us. I did some door work back in the day and you’d see this literally dozens of times every night. He’s just gone out in a bender, and he probably can’t handle his ale too well as he’s been off it in camp

Then why are British people and its publications making such a big deal of it? Why are Fury's own inner circle concerned about his recent behavior? This isn't normal anywhere. I don't buy that for a second.

Honestly, it really is a fairly normal Friday/Saturday night for a large portion of the population. The difference, and why it is being reported is 1. It’s Tyson fury, the British press have never liked him since he beat wlad. Some of this is his fault with the bigoted nonsense he started spouting after his title win. And 2. He’s a sports star and even though it’s accepted that the general public do this, there seems to be a different rule for our celebrities, where the press is concerned. Our tabloid press are scum!

We have a poisonous drinking culture over here. I’ve been around alcohol my whole life, seen it bring the absolute worst out of people and it’s the reason that I don’t ever drink.

I don’t know anyone who thought he lost the first wilder fight. If anything he got diddled by hometown judging. A few desperate fanboys claimed it should’ve been stopped when fury got dropped, but we all saw him back wilder up till the finsl bell. He wasn’t lucky in that fight, he got robbed

He has been lucky in a couple of others though

The British press is being hard on Fury because it's stupid behavior. Especially for an elite level athlete. He has a date and a contractual rematch in December for a fight that's worth over 100 million dollars. This may be fairly normal for the average Brit but that isn't what Fury is.

Like I said in a previous post, it’s very possible he’s going on a bender after the fight and before he gets back to work. The fight is 6 months away after all, not just round the corner. If there’s more of this reported in the coming weeks then I’d certainly take your point.

Part of furys popularity over here (when he actually was popular) was that people saw him as normal. Typical northern lad, likes a drink and a punch up, and isn’t super human. He does have his vulnerabilities. For what it’s worth I do think he has some mental health issues, but I think his drinking/coke use are/have always been recreational. Alcohol and coke is a really popular combination over here because you can drink far more alcohol if you do a few lines

This is pre-camp but abusing his body like this will eventually catch up to him if it already hasn't. It could also cost him endorsements and high profile fighters like him and Joshua make millions per year off of them even when they're not fighting. Ultimately this has worked in Fury's favor. When he likely loses to Usyk again it'll provide a convenient post-fight excuse. Fury may not use it but his fans could. They'll assume that he's been drinking again all the while. For all we know he has been the last several weeks.

Getting pissed up and falling over is commonplace in the UK. You'll see it in every city centre, every Fri and Sat night. Also, it's illegal to be drunk in a pub in the UK. There is no getting cut off. You get thrown out.

Mountain out of a molehill, in my opinion.
....he's an alcoholic. He's not just "pissed" like some random british plumber lmao.

I doubt very much he drinks everyday, or even most days. Even the most well adjusted, functioning alcoholics won’t make it through a training camp. Half the guys I served with in the British forces were functional alcoholics. I’d guess He’s a binge drinker rather than an alcoholic. And yes a large portion of this country are binge drinkers.

Irish gypsy likes to drink

They don’t drink anymore than the rest of the population tbh. Northerners are generally big drinkers from my experience, and Tyson is a northern lad after all! The fuckin size of him as well, i bet he drank the boozer dry to get in that state

For what it’s worth I do think he has some mental health issues
I cant think what makes you think that, the fella is a fucking fruitcase, but have you seen his father?

i'm not a fan of just saying "he has mental health issues", these people have access to plenty of services and have money to pay for professional help, everyone has some sort of mental health issue, but repeat offenders are probably never going to ever fix themselves no matter what

Most mental health issues are never "fixed" bro. It's not like you run a course of treatment like it's penicillin and the thing is gone.

At best you can just manage these things well and have some systems in place so that when they bubble up- and they do- then you can mitigate the worst of it and stay between the lines somewhat. And his lifestyle throws up all kinds of challenges to doing that.

But what's he gonna do- be a HW champ and live a boring 9-5 cubicle lifestyle? Seems kind of a waste of a few hundred million!

I’ll print this picture on a t-shirt to wear at the press conference if I was Usyk.

There will be a rematch. Fury get shit-faced after every fight, win or lose. This is nothing new.
Well, losing it was new this time.

fury will stop usyk in the rematch ... bookmark that
It's unlikely but possible. But nobody should be shocked because it's heavyweight boxing. If you are so confident though then feel free to post your bet slip before the rematch. You'll get great odds guaranteed. Usyk already opened as the favorite to win.
