I think you're being disingenuous. He knows, and Fury has already said this, that the fight won't happen. Essentially he's telling Fury that he can make the fight if he wants to, knowing he won't. It's a way to make it seem as if he's ducking or avoiding Jones, thereby undercutting Fury's claims that he's the baddest guy in the planet.

There's also a world of difference between setting up a fight between a youtuber and Tyron Woodley, and setting a fight between the HW champion of the UFC and the HW boxing champion. But it won't happen, and Dana knows this.
