Fury - Chisora Press conference

Fury vs Haye would be fun, and I assume commercially successful.

Fury should get some more fights under his belts before he challenges a Klitschko.

Really good fight, much better than I expected. Fury surprised me with the quality of his work(not really world class, but decent) and his chin.

Actually this fight has made me a Wladimir fan :( Fury clinches too much for my liking, fights like he is 10 inches shorter than he is and gets hit too often...now would I watch him again? Yes...Chisora too if he ever shows up in better shape and throws more than 20 punches a round...but all in all it was as interesting a heavyweight bout as Im going to see stateside...

Basically same margin I had it.

Warren's wondering how many of his HW prospects are going to be knocked off.

I guess we know why Chisora avoided Fury when Tyson first started calling him out.

I'm about as big a Fury fan as you'll find (and have been ever since his debut, regularly pimping him here when people were calling him "the worst HW they'd ever seen), but he shouldn't even go to European level yet, let alone world... and certainly not a Klit. It would be both embarrassing and bad for his career... Tyson has a pretty solid chin and great heart... which means he's taken a Briggs like beating.

Defend his Lonsdale belt a few times... there's Towers, Price... even the likes of Harrison, Sprott or Skelton, then look towards Europe. He's what... 22, 23... there's no need to rush him. Get him a solid trainer who'll stick with him, get him some decent sparring and let him move up naturally.

I wouldn't mind seeing Fury/Harrison if Audley is still fighting or Chisora against Haye...Fury/Haye makes me nervous that it would be another lunge and clinch fest like Wladimir/Haye...I was most impressed with Ryan Toms int he opening match that was the most entertaining bout on the PPV card...The Theopane match was decent too.

ALOT more! I dont thing he anywhere near the level of fighting a Klitschko (would be a beter fight then the haye fight though)

I know it's in-vogue to hate on Haye... but he's a clear level or two above Fury and the fight would be little more than an execution. Fury's basically a prospect in terms of his "world level" and we need to remember that.

Skelton??? The ex-K1 fighter? Isn't he like 50?

44 and clearly past his best... but despite that only some pretty handy operators have beaten him in recent years. Inactive recently but give him a win over a scrub or two and it's an interesting bout.

Good to keep in mind that was Tyson's 15th bout, and he's 22. Povetkin is 32, had 21 bouts and still hasn't fought a Klit. Tyson shouldn't rush, his rise through the ranks alreday makes Wilder and co, look like crap

Matt Skelton is a hard man and an easy fight for no one in any discipline (except perhaps connect 4). One of the rare breed to have competed in mma/K1 and boxing. Kudos!

Its a pretty interesting phase it seems with UK heavyweights...you have a lot of young giants coming up...and some guys past it like Harrison, Skelton etc...but really nobody in their prime and ready to compete on the world stage outside of a blown up cruiserweight...UK heavyweights could prove pretty effective on the world scene in another 3-4 years...I think they will be able to compete against the crop of E.Europeans and American prospects post Klit. era...

Exactly. He's a prospect... a prospect with a big mouth, a name that gets him attention, a decent amount of exposure and a pretty deep record (for a prospect) but a prospect none-the-less. A fight between a Klit and either Fury or Chisora should be seen for what it is... a joke.

I think Wilder is getting pretty crappy training and management, there is no reason with the money behind him why he should look as raw as he does after 17-18 fights...Seth Mitchell isn't much better...I haven't seen Mansour in action yet but he is taking on Guinn next so that should clear up where he is in terms of development...

Wilder needs to fight someone with a pulse. I give full props to Flo Simba for fighting Botha, yeah he got knocked out, but at least he stepped his competition level up. Fury's competition level rise from debut onwards is inmpressive to say the least in my eyes.

its crazy when you think about it. He really needs to take his time though but he has shown so much potential so far. If ch5 got good viewing numbers who knows they might start investing in british boxing.
