Haha, I thought that was Shogun at first. He already has 2 wins over Alistair. I'd love to see him the UFC, but I guess he's content with fighting cans and Japan and (not) defending his Strikeforce belt (almost 2 years now).

ubereem would eat cains soul regardless of what anyone thinks of any org

Why should I believe that ? Ubereem ain't proving shit lately, beside the fact he knows how to torture cans with his horse muscles.

its funny how oblivious MMA fans are to the fact that ubereem is fighting (and winning thus far) in the K1 grand prix. hes busy, simply put.

as for the JT fight, my guess is DREAM needed a ratings boost since ubereem is huge in japan. everyone knows it was a meaningless fight. he has the semifinal bracket of K1 coming up and hed be insane to take a legit MMA fight right now.

maybe i should ask why you guys care so much? i just figured you didnt have any idea that was overeem in the background, so i made it clear while adding that yes, i think hed be too much for cain.

if anyone likes K1, the overeem/aerts fight was pretty good

Overeem is a quitter, and would never make waves in the ufc. He has all the talent in the world, don't get me wrong. But after he sees his opponent won't go down within the first 3 minutes he either gasses or just gives up.

Cain can take a shot, and will be able to take him down. After the type of gnp he's shown recently, Overeem would be wilting within the first round. Just look at the Sergei rematch, the little Nog rematch, both Shogun fights, the fight with Chuck, etc. He's a beast when he's in control, but fades when he comes up against a fighter who can take what he gives.

Alistair Overeem just decisioned Peter Aerts. Questioning his heart or abilities at this point is crazy. He may have some of the best striking in MMA at this point. Hell, he is actually able to compete and beat high-level K1 competition. His grappling isn't bad, either.

That was then, this is now. Do you really think the Overeem from 6 years ago would be able to KO/TKO/Decision the best K1 kickboxers in the world?

Why is it people on Sherdog have this mentality that a fighters abilities are static? There is room for improvement, and Alistair has clearly shown it.

Overeem is better now than he's ever been. Do you think if he fought Chuck now, it would have the same result?
