I've seem some kids in the ghetto wearing basketball jersey/short combination. That's always been a thing here. I didn't think much of it though and it's not the same as these guys walking around with cleats, socks, etc. Never been into jersey's myself, or any sports wear for that matter. Probably because MMA is the only sport I've ever really followed.

I'm sure there are different terms everywhere...but whenever we saw a guy sporting all the same gear from one company or team, we called them 'beaters'. it also applied even if the person was actually playing the sport, but was a shit player.
