I agree that fully grown adults wearing even just a current replica shirt whilst not playing 5/6 a side is still a little strange. I have tons of replicas from when I was younger but stopped buying them in my teen years.

Although I don't mind an old style shirt like a retro 60s replica or something like that.

Nah, its fine in certain circumstances. Ive got a fair few liverpool shirts, wouldnt wear them to go out shopping, or going out for the day or whatever, but if theres a big match, its on in the pub, and was a friendly pub then would go to the pub to watch the match wearing it.
