Really? I was thinking it was getting to much also but we got a ton of answers by the season finale.

I dunno man. I felt like they introduced more plotlines and details but we have enough of those already. The doll was a big waste of time, the ghost woman is somehow connected to the creatures but we don't get any more closure, a major character dies, a new villain emerges, weird time distortions. It feels like they are adding more information without actually making things more coherent and comprehensible.

They added stuff I do agree but now at least we got information on how this all started, why certain people were pulled into that town. That was huge for me and satisified me enough. Rumor is next season is going to really dive into what happened back in the day during all of this with flashbacks. I think the show is wrapping up and we are going to get even more next season.

Now that Jade and Tabitha have their memories back they are going to have a ton of answers for everyone.

As far as the doll I do agree that was a waste of time. Which normally I wouldn't care much but in a show like this you don't want time waste on nonsense like that.

Just finished S3, I'm out.

Way too many open threads and too few answers. Setting up for inevitable messiness and disappointment.

Yup, I bumped this thread before the season dropped, and I regret it. I haven’t hoped a show gets cancelled more than this one.

Season 1 and 2 were a perfect amount of character development and set up, and I fully expected to get major answers and info in season 3.

We basically got zero answers and just more questions.

The only answers we got were retardedly written. I feel bad for the actors who have to say the lines. Something about “energy is conserved, so souls aren’t ever destroyed, they just find a new body” or some shit, oh, also there is time travel.

This show can fuck right off.

Based on how the show has operated so far, I bet they share none of their answers with anyone.

Tabitha’s actress is also the worst actor on television right now, I can’t imagine listening to her deliver bullshit for another season.

They already did share a bunch though that they've been reincarnated multiple times and their kids were sacrificed. Victor is essentially Tabithas son. They were the only ones who didn't want to sacrifice their kids for immortality which is what all the monsters are is people who did. They've failed at ending this horror multiple times already.

I don't know seems like the show is sharing plenty and now with both their memories returned I'm positive we get more answers next season and the one after that is most likely the last.

Ya and all of that is retarded.

Ah well yea then if you're not enjoying the answers anymore I can see why you don't like it. I'm still enjoying it I thought it was a great season looking forward to the next one.

You’re really okay with “reincarnated cult monsters”, and “reincarnated souls moving to new bodies”, and time travel, and Fatima giving birth to the Smiley guy?

It’s not even just the answers, but the terrible writing and delivery of it all. It was a bunch of slow plodding nonsense for 9 episodes, then all of a sudden Tabitha (worst actress on planet) has a flashback and does an info dump. Then Victor has a flashback and does an info dump. Then Jade has an epiphany and does a pseudoscience info dump on the physics and the nature of souls. Why even watch the first 9 episodes?

The answers are bad, and the writing is even worse.

I mean I kind of expected it to be something this wild. It had to be. You have monsters coming out at night and killing people in a town no one can get to without being brought there. On top of that no one can leave it. With special little talisman that can stop the monsters from getting you. I knew it wasn't any form of purgatory cause they did that with lost and it was clear they were trying to hint to that possibility heavily here as well. Which would be the only viable explanation beyond what we are getting now.

So I pretty much expected it to be something along these lines. I honestly needed the info dump and I don't care how they got there. They were building to many mysteries without providing enough info back. I got that and now I'm ready to continue and see what happens next.

I don't think this show is the greatest thing ever or anything like that but I do think it's a good show and I look forward to watching it.

They were building to many mysteries without providing enough info back.

Exactly. And they did that for 29 episodes, then finally in episode 30 they just infodump everything before a 2 year break.

That’s just bad writing.

This show is made for chumps, just like Lost was. You’re gonna sit around and watch this show for two more seasons not knowing what the hell is going on, then in the season finale (in 2030) they will do another info dump and you’ll convince yourself it was worth it.

Maybe I'm enjoying it for what it is now. I liked Lost but it went on to long and that's what ruined it IMO. The same will happen if this show doesn't end in Season 5 IMO. They can maybe push a Season 6 but I think 5 is enough.

I said this in another un-related thread when asked about the season finale:

If Julie can indeed go back-and-forth in time somehow, I think Jim will be back. I think she changes that outcome.

If not, then at least as a hallucination/ghost like the priest is for Boyd.

Is it just me or was the voice of the man in the yellow suit the same voice on the radio from before?

Also, Jade and Tabitha must keep dying or somehow getting out only to be brought back in after being reincarnated or something? I think we got a little foreshaowing into that when she got out only to be brought back with Victor's dad.

Waiting for all of S3 to come out to watch it but this is one of my favorite shows on TV right now. Was a huge LOST fan so obviously a little partial to the theme similarities and mixing in some horror is also fun. Best analogy is LOST meets Wayward Pines.
I would of said LOST meets walking dead.

we can talk more in depth here now thats in the right place

julie can "story walk" we dont know if that is time travel, astral projection or something else it is as of yet unexplained. although Ethan did say that she couldnt change the story because a story is already told. It is pretty clear that the Julie in the final scene is not the current Julie but a story walking Julie who was trying to change the story and clearly failing.
I hope Jim can come back as he was one of the mains in the show at the start and i felt like he got a bad rap. that being said i think he will be as you said a force ghost like being. or maybe he will have a reincarnation as many fans are theorizing that its not only jim and tabitha tied to fromville but maybe many characters are reincarnated towns people.

the man in yellow seems to be the man from the radio he claimed to be the one who told jim what the man on the radio said.

for tabitha it actually ahs been being hinted from way back when she found the bracelet in the diner.
