It's only selling if folks are buying, and I don't get why folks are buying.

What about the first fight demands a second? That was as finalized as a fued gets.

I know there are worse precedents set and the whole "it's a business" but they're only selling it cause everyones buying.

To me it's not just a waste it makes the belt a joke and not something that's earned and worked for against contenders in the division.

I agree with you, but thats how UFC is these days sadly. The thing is Hendo is a lot more well known and popular and American too. For us we know Jacare, but for random people who have a small interest in the sport they will not know what you're talking about if you said his name. thats the reality of it all.

I don't think its fair if they do Bisping vs Hendo, but if it happens then I certainly won't be surprised.

Belts in UFC are no longer based on merits alone.. that being said, some of us folks dont necessarily buy every card/match UFC put on.

But we like Dan and want to se him retire a champ..plus its a perfectly interesting fight ... plus henderson DESERVES the big money fights

Yes we through or hands up and say fuck it. Making threads on Sherdog does nothing and I'm not going to stop watching. UFC is gonna UFC and that's pretty much that. Hendo vs Bisping book it. Brock vs Stipe book it. Conor vs whoever the fuck he wants book it. My Amazon firestick is prepared for the all the action.

I understand it, if I'm making matches to profit I'd do it too probably. I just can't understand how people who were saying Hendo should retire right after the Lombard fight went to the other extreme of "title shot" so fast.

And also remakes and sequels generally suck when the originals such a classic. Were not getting another Hendohoff Knight Rider gif so even if the hope is for that, to me it's false hope.

This forum damn near universally after the Lombard KO said he should walk off into the sunset. The perfect KO to cap an already long career...

Then Bisping shocked the world, and everyone who was saying Dan should be done was calling for Hendo/Bisping 2. Literally in the course of an hour, the general consensus went from "retire" to "title shot" because of a different fight.

Why? What about the first fight left the door open for another? How do you say a guys close to the end and should get a shot in the same breath?

Love Dan but it's just stupid. I get liking KOs and gifs, but not more then the already flimsy credibility of the sport.

He talked about possibly retiring himself, in the octagon. I'd rather see that. But I dont think there is any way he deserves a TS. If he wants to keep fighting fine. But 13 fighting for a belt in that division is ridiculous.

That is sherdog and most uneducated MMA forum members thought process. If a guy looks bad in his last fight he is a bum and should retire. If he looks good he is the next champ and GOAT. There doesn't seem to be a lot of in between with stupid people.
