French teacher on leave after verbal fight with students

naked cartoon is still like showing a kid hentia pron.... I don't think that's very appropriate.

Good. In their backwards country is Islam or fucking die.

What grade are we talking about?

Social issues , race and politics are discusses in school. So nothing wrong with the teacher showing the Muhammed cartoon. The kids sound like Muslim kids who still don't get it and just pushed the teacher to make a silly comment about the AK.

Teacher should have been more composed but in the heat of the moment of arguing, one gets frustrated .

In France there have been many cases of Muslim students who refuse to honor the minute of silence for the Charlie Hebdo shooting.

Schools both here and there need to stop indoctrinating children by shoving their opinions on social issues down their throat.

Teach the kids how to read, write, and do arithmetic, then get out of the room and let their form their own worldviews.

Telling them that that Muslims are good/bad, making them look at pictures of Mohammad, telling them that communists/capitalists are good/evil, that religion should be respected/shunned, etc... None of it belongs in public schools. There should have been no teacher lectures on Charlie Hebdo at all. Here in America, we've graduated a whole generation of social activists who can't do basic algebra or geometry, and lack fundamental reasoning skills because of schools constantly shoving stuff like this down their throats, instead of basic skills.

How about instead of Black History month, where you learn about how Rosa Parks and MLK were heroes, you have "car repair month", where you learn basic automotive repair skills. How about instead of Holocaust remembrance week, we have "Let's learn C++" week? How about instead of teaching kids about evil communism and Iraq is, we teach them symbolic logic?

He probably didn't say anything about about AKs. If I remember my youth correctly, adolescents are big on exaggerations and twisting the narrative in their favor. If these children were Muslim, this only makes more sense. They probably want to see him fired and replaced with a teacher that reveres Allah.

The students need to be conditioned properly, and what better place than state education facilities?

But seriously, I think what the teacher did was overzealous.

Some skills more useful than others? You skillist.

don't defend what this punk teacher did. show the cartoon if it's fit for school, a naked cartoon of anyone isn't appropriate. if a teach showed a naked picture of jesus to my kid i'd be pretty pissed off and i'd hope my kid spoke up.

Difference between Jesus and Muhammed, is that the later was a genocidal warlord.

A naked cartoon of Muhammed is a drawing, not like it is an actual photograph of a naked man.

School should teach history, civics, our rights and liberties etc.. Muhammed cartoons serve to teach and explain our freedom of speech.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say showing cartoon porn to 11 year olds is a bad thing.

Showing something as part of a curriculum that is meant to post someone off might , shocker, pics them off.

There are TONS of offensive things that you could draw, they have nothing to do with freedom of speech. I could draw a picture of Rosa parks getting fucked by Hitler and begging for more. It would be wildly inappropriate, just like showing naked pictures of Mohamed is young kids.

Cant believe that I have to defend not showing porn to small children in school.

Nudity is not pornography.

Depends on the cartoon. You don't really think this cartoon was like porno anime or the other cartoon porn out there. Tom and Jerry are naked but still not detailed enough to be an issue. There is no reason to assume this cartoon was pornographic in nature or detailed enough to be adult themed.

Rosa Parks is an actual person whos identity is well known. Getting fucked is a sexual act, while this was just a drawing of a naked Muhammed.

Not everything naked is porn. Naked Amazonian tribals on the cover of NatGeo isn't porn.

Porn is protected by freedom of speech, which is why you said that mocking pictures of religious figures should be shown. Its just a different example of the same thing. Intentionally offensive speech that is protected.

Also, Mohammed was a real person too.
