Freebie Alert Thread

Yeah, it's a cool enough game, but you just go downhill the entire time. That can't hold you like, say, a skateboarding game would over a long period of time.

But if you're a trials and races sort of guy, I can see how it'd be great fun, and for a long time.
i had a little play after i commented, forgot you could change to skis, a wingsuit and a jetpack wingsuit

you mention skate games and i feel the same way, i play this wishing it was skateboarding, there's a few handrails in the little towns but it's hard to do a fluid run

it's actually only playable online so it's fun to have another player on your run, bombing it down the steepest mountains taking different lines or chasing eachother. i can see how you can make it competitive but i like to just freestyle it and zone out a bit

Epic has become such an awesome freeloader client. I hope it stays this way for at least another 6 months. <Moves>
Can you change the games installation folder?

I don't want them on my SSD but I wouldn't mind grabbing Darksiders 1 and 2. Haven't played them before.

Thanks. Is that what they call the "Vault Cache" in settings?

Haven't seen that setting, but doubtful. Running through the store at this moment, in order to change the install folder I simply need to click on the game in my library I want to install, and the pop up while give you the install location/browse selection for you.

Fuck!! I kept forgetting to check the epic store and missed Celeste and Shadow Tactics.. and some random other games throughout the year.

I forgot on the worst days. They've been giving away some really great stuff.

It's eerie how little dlc this has. A mere 45 dollars worth?

Sheeit, Train Simulator has $10,112,34 in dlc!!!
Haha, amen. I've never played this, but I think I'll give it a go. I just love how this series has been huge for decades with a demographic that isn't interested in gaming at all outside of the series. That's why it's all physical sales. This is a game that apparently midwesterners and real farmers are happy to buy their kids, and that can run on their typical home PCs. I didn't realize it was a German company that made it until I caught an article some time ago. Apparently it's big with farmers around the world, and the farming brands whose products appear in the game (ex. John Deere) are really passionate about the game. That's just so cool.

Farmer certified. No better endorsement.

This week we get Carcassone and Ticket To Ride.

Next week indie game Aztez and KINGDOM COME DELIVERANCE

I already got KOD in a Humble Bundle for 15 last year, but that's an insane giveaway.
Good stuff, but damn, they were supposed to give away Pandemic, too. Apparently that's been postponed. They didn't want to be insensitive due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Prudent, I suppose. Reminds me of when they pulled Schwarzenegger's Collateral right before it was set to release back in 2011 after September 11. It was a long time before they took it off the shelf, and put it out.

2011 was 10 years after 9/11.
