Or even 125. He looked freaking tiny against Ortega. And it looks like his chin has official expired.

I think he still got a few good years in him though.

Retire? One loss and he's done I guess. Cut the roster to 75 fighters

Might as well give 135 a shot
He still looks tiny at 45

You're having a laugh right? Nobody would have survived that elbow followed by that uppercut from Ortega. The dude's been knocked out once, don't think you can say his chin has officially expired.

Wait what. Why does everyone always have to retire? He was sticking and moving, and looked great against Ortega. Had the fight went on he probably would have landed a takedown considering he took fighters at 155 down. He’s still a threat at 145.

Retire immediately and expunge his record from MMA forever.

135 suits his size

However don’t forget He’s just one fight removed from derailing a young stud in Yair and before that Stephens, who’s on a roll now. So let Ortega get his title shot, With Aldo about retired, there aren’t a ton of contenders ahead of Edgar, win 1-2 more and back in the mix

I don't think his chin has expired. He never had some kind of unbelievable chin, what made him so tough to finish was his frantic recovery and incredible heart.

Goes 27 fights without getting finished, gets finished once and has no chin. Yeok

He fought bigger guys throughout his career, 145 is good for him. He left that chin open all night while trying to close the distance. Ortega was just one step ahead of Frankie.

135 or 145. I don't think he wants to retire yet but if he does, so be it.

Retire. Too many champs have that one more fight attitude. His brain is more important.

In the past he's stated that he would only drop to 135 for an immediate title shot. Plus I don't see him dropping past 3 in the rankings, so two wins probably get him back as long as Aldo doesn't have the belt.

It kind of felt like that was an end of an era.

I think he should give 135 a shot.

after 3 fights the thread is:

Frankie: retire or drop to 125

then...

Frankie: retire or try WMMA but avoid Cyborg

I think he's lost a step and that's not good for the lighter weights.

From the comfort of my chair I recommend three more pay checks, outpoint some lesser doods and then call it a day. Age is a thing.

Yeah right?? these assholes nowadays are sitting in their asses waiting for somebody to fall to pick on them like vultures. Having said that, I think Frankie should try 135, he has been fighting guys bigger than him his whole life.

Hmm Once upon a time Frankie would have. Every chin has a time limit. Look at Chuck, Brad picket. These guy's used to eat punches all day.

That being said, like I originally posted, I think the guy has a few more years in him. Would love to see him against DJ.
