Media Frank Shamrock on Jaxxon

@HHJ he was pretty annoying with Karo Parisyan, but if Karo ultimately doesn't mind it all to much and just uses it to take the piss out of him in a friendly way. Then why should I care?
Bear is alright. I gotta give him credit for knowing when to cut Rampage off. Rampage be talking about himself too much sometimes and goes on crazy tangents. Bear is good at keeping the focus on the guest.

And this is a new podcast. They will improve over time hopefully. Every guest seemed happy afterwards too.

Common knowledge for abused male orphan. Well that was teh 70s.
Yeah, the foster care system in America is pretty fucked up.

I taught for one year in a school for wards of the state.
Saw some shit there.

Saw a teacher get sent to the hospital for trying to break up a fight (just stitches, nothing horrible, but stitches on his face that probably left a scar)

Saw a BIG 15 year old get mad and go buck wild and smash the shit out of a teachers car.

Kids attacking eachother with any sort of improvised weapon you can imagine.
My very first day a kid comes running out of the bathroom swinging the toilet plunger.
<{cruzshake}>

I broke up many a fight myself, back control, hooks, and then straight jacket hold with wrist control was my move. Then you just gotta watch out for the back of the head headbutt, but that can be avoided by staying tucked and tight.

There was a GREAT fist fight in my class on one of the last days of the year that a kid won by mashing the other kids face into the air conditioner. If it was videotaped it would have gone viral on r/fightporn or street collesium.

You have much knowledge sherbro. I don't read all your posts but I tend to agree with you much but I don't always feel the need to say anything. I usually just do the like 👍

  • Says he never did steroids and wasn't particularly strong.
Not buying that he didn't roid up.

Maybe not compared to Ken, but he was definitely strong. Though I'd buy that he didn't do steroids since he never went through a crazy physical transformation. Maybe we just didn't see the transformation from when he got out of prison to when he competed for the first time in the 1994 King of Pancrase tournament, but he was always very lean and muscular and kept the same physique from when he debuted in Pancrase to when he retired in the UFC. He never jumped up 20 pounds out of nowhere, he never got shockingly bulky from one year to the next. Considering his physique through his career from 1994-1999, I'd guess he was either always on steroids or never on steroids.

I call fucking bullshit on him not being strong. He was fast, explosive and lifted Zinoviev from the fucking splits.

Maybe that's just the way it seemed as a middleweight training with light heavyweights and heavyweights, but he was a strong motherfucker. I've never seen anyone lift his opponent off the ground from such a disadvantaged position before or since.

And added to everything that you said, he didn't just lift Zinoviev, he picked him up with such explosiveness and slammed him with such power that he retired Zinoviev with that monster double. He shattered Zionviev's collarbone and fractured the C5 vertebrae in his neck. Weak people don't end opponents' careers with slams

It aint just you bro.

Rampage listens well, picks his spots.

Other dude in the red hat is about as sharp as a nerf bal.

Who is the non Rampage guy? I'll be honest, he looks like such a bellend it's the only reason I've never watched one of these vids.

Really good interview with Frank. He seems to have matured a ton.

  • Talks about very early days in Japan
  • Says Ken and Dan Henderson were the two strongest guys he ever tied up with.
  • Talks about spending a fair amount of time in prison and prison fights.
  • Committed a ton of felonies (which is why he was in jail)
  • Talks about what drove the division between Frank, his dad, and Ken
  • Pancrase days.
  • Says he never did steroids and wasn't particularly strong.
  • Says Ken was a freak athlete from very early on in life.
  • Never played sports as a kid
  • Has had a back issue since his teenage years. Ultimately played a role in retiring early, plus no money.
  • Talks about consulting with the Fertita brothers and Dana very earlon. Led to division with Frank as Frank didn't believe in them. Frank didn't join the team so he was the enemy.

Best MMA podcast in the game.

The part about prison fights seems interesting.

I can’t read anything about Frank without thinking of his time on that gym rescue show.

They get great guests and rampage is great with his questions and stories with them and is pretty damn funny, but does anybody else find Rampage’s co host incredibly obnoxious? I’ve only seen a few eps but it seems like he’s always saying dumb shit, doing dumb shit, asking stupid questions and interrupting people. I find it hard to watch cuz I find dude so annoying and cringe. Rampage could do this show on his own 100%.

Karo brought up Diego and Fabia and both rampage and his Co host were clueless about the while thing.
