Frank Mir Signs With Bellator

They should give Mir a can in the mean time on Indian land. Just to iron out the ring rust. April 2018 is still like a year away.

Does that MMAFighting article really list his win over Nelson but not his win over the then-undefeated UFC champion Sylvia?

Gross. Do better, Helwani.

Mir vs Randy

Fuck it!

He will beat Fedor and finally have his last win over Prides best heavyweights

Both him and Fedor or pretty shot so anything can happen.

Seriously, he's 38. Took huge gruesome knockouts. Why still go out there? Isnt he financially settled yet?

Will Sherdog admit Mir and Fedor are on even footing on being over the hill fighters?

These are the questions I need to ask in case this fight ever gets made.

People getting hyped about a potential Fedor fight should revisit the last Mir fight that was a decade in the making.

Another familiar face is headed to Bellator.

Frank Mir has agreed to terms with the promotion, MMA Fighting has learned. Bellator is expected to officially announce his signing in the coming days.

Last month, Mir, 38, was granted his release from the UFC.

Following his March 2016 loss to Mark Hunt in Australia, Mir tested positive for oral turinabol metabolites in a United States Anti-Doping Agency drug test. As a result, Mir, who maintains his innocence, is serving a two-year suspension that expires in April 2018. He is not expected to fight for Bellator before then.

Mir, the former UFC heavyweight champion, had been with the company since 2001. The last time he fought for another organization was 16 years ago.

Considered one of the greatest big men of all time, Mir (18-11) holds notable wins over Brock Lesnar, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (twice), Roy Nelson and Mirko Cro Cop.

Mir will become the latest familiar UFC face to sign with Bellator, joining the likes of Phil Davis, Matt Mitrione, Benson Henderson, Rory MacDonald, and most recently Gegard Mousasi, among others, who recently made the jump.

Who is the Bellator HW champ?

Mitrione? Roy Nelson? King Mo?

Mir might have one more chance at gold before it s all over.

god dammit Mur, I hoped he would retire

Bellator should sign Tim Sylvia and Cro Cop too, and replicate the 2004-2006 heavyweight scene.

Kinda crazy he needs to wait 8 more months

A fired up Mitrionne vs the current Mir may be a pretty good scrap
