Frank Mir now a FREE AGENT after loss to Fedor Emelianenko

I think you could make some good fights for him in Bellator, and they can probably resign him cheaper now. But since he didnt really bring in any ratings it may not be worth it to them.

It's also interesting he was signed for a tournament but only had a 1 fight contract. Unless maybe it renewed if he won or something. Also, if I remember correctly, Fedor signed a 2 fight contract (Mitrione and Mir) with an option for a third fight if things went well. Be interesting to see what happens.

I'm still of the idea that he should pursue a full-time commentator role and retire already, but I suppose that's not in the works just yet.

I'd kind of like to see him vs Kharitonov or even Fedor's brother. I'm not sure if Kharitonov is still in Bellator or not. Cro Cop rematch would be cool too.

If Big Foot can make 500K a fight in Russia to be a jobber, I don't see why Mir can't too.

I think Frank definitely would have opportunities to make good money in Russia for sure, it sounds like more money in Russia than in Japan at the moment outside States

Speaking of guys that should retire, it's a wonder that Bigfoot can still get licensed to fight. For someone that has been ktfo as many times as he has, he should really think about walking away while he still has the ability to walk.

Mir could fight Maldonado in Russia. Didn't Maldonado win a belt?

He has an upcoming fight against Nikita Krylov, which is probably a title fight. I wouldn't like Fabio's chances in that one.

Let him fight in Russia against Minakov

Pretty sure Frank owes one fight to ACB by contract?? If I'm remember right it was part of his commentator gig.

Hes only 38, younger than DC. Still a few more fights for him?

I'm sure he will fight a few more times but as a long time fan I'm afraid whatever was left of his chin is gone. Wasn't really impressed with Fedor's finish, hip toss was nice and unexpected but just more disappointed in Frank's ability to take a shot.

I guess being KO'd by some of MMA heaviest hitters takes it's toll.....who woulda thought?

That’s fine, but anything to say about the knuckle sandwich he ate from the GOAT?

That first Cro Cop match was awful, I would rather have Frank rematch Big Timmeh or even Tank Abbott than see that again.

I would bet my first born that Mir is fighting in Russia within the next 12 months.

Those Russian promotions love their local boys beating former UFC names.
