gutted by that loss

I said before and am still convinced that Mir could have won that fight. Just a few seconds before the KO I was sying get your left hand up Frank stop pawing out like a deer on ice with your hands and feet so wide out trying to grab something. Use your range and take your time getting to the clinch.

But credit to Hunt you can't afford to make that kind of mistake standing with him.

I am a career long Mir fan but the fact is he is now 2-6 out of his last 8 fights.

Where do we go from here

Retirement, mate.

Aside from the performance and weight issues... he looked disinterested. How much more damage can you afford to take before it compromises your future analyst job?

Nothing left to prove. You were a young phenom, won the title, got hurt, won the title again, have a couple of iconic submissions and the headphones gif meme which is arguably the best gif of all time.

What else is there? Deep down I still want one more submission win, but still...

Retire...It's obvious he had some help before the whole testing push...so obvious. He can't win at his age wear/tear level without that extra push from banned substances...The guy has a bright future as a commentator maybe if he doesn't threaten to kill anyone else..

Stann and Hardy were spot on last night. I'm not sure I'd fall under the category of Mir Fan but I certainly respect his accomplishments in the UFC.

Leave ufc, fight fedor. Would watch

Retire. This was the most out of shape Mir I have seen in a fight and he didn't look like he wanted to be there. I would bet he is going to retire. I am a Frank Mir fan to

What's next? Well based on the UFC system, it should be an immediate rematch with Hunt at UFC 200.

A 12 pack to add to that beer belly. If he woulda came in lighter and in better shape to where he could shoot a decent take down, maybe throw some decent push kicks he might have not been one hitted quitted lol

I would love to see him become a commentator. I always enjoyed his insights back in the WEC days.

As for fighting I think he should retire before he takes to much punishment. He had a good last run and should step away with his head held up high.

I don't know, TS. But personally I've been waiting years for that Carwin rematch.

As long as he doesn't threaten to kill Brock again, he should be fine as a commentator.

Advil. I'm sure his head and neck fell like he was in a car wreck today.

retirement. Always been a fan. It's time he has nothing more to prove. I remember back in 2008 a bunch of us at Jackson's mma including Tom watson and Julie Kedzie went to vegas for a grappling tournament. We rented 2 suvs and drove. Fun times, but while there we also went to Mirs gym and all trained with him for a bit then went out to dinner with him. He was really cool and he signed a glove for me to give my brother for his birthday.

I don't usually ask fighters for autographs or anything since I know most of the guys at Jackson-winks and train with them but Mir was a special exception.

Get the feeling Mir can't train hard enough to be in great shape as much damage as his body has been through without TRT.

Overall I'm glad TRT is gone so yeah, probably retirement. Wouldn't mind a squash match or two before he leaves but he's done as a legit contender.

I am also a Mir fan, he sure konws how to get himself KOed.

Should retire, he seems like a smart guy, I can see him having a good post fighting career in MMA commentary or something.
But he must have made some money, I think he doesn't have to do anything to live comfortable.
