I have never heard Frank this Frank. I wonder how the hell he knows that?

He says there are too many natural heavyweights?? Everybody usyk has fought at heavies are natural heavyweights.....wtf is he talking about?

If only Frank didnt fight the same era as this hall of famer who learned boxing when he was 28

Frank Bruno has a single win on his record that is half decent, just one, and that is against McCall

well then he's a god damn fool.

you can put usyk into any era of boxing, and he'd make it. maybe he wouldn't be the undefeated unified 2 division champion, but he'd damn sure make it.

Is it really that bad? Wow..
Yes, i remember when Jumbo Cummings had him all over the place, close to stopping him

He has shite like Carl Williams and Jesse Fergusoin as well, just your run of the mill fighters that Chisora would beat TBH

Infact, Chisora would beat Bruno

What's his second best win? Does bonecrusher have better record?

It's just a bad take for many factual reasons.

-His era of HWs were beaten, some what dominated & terrified by a 5'10 guy that became an "ATG" to the world in Mike Tyson. Who literally beat the shit out of natural HWs.
-Also, a blown up cruiserweight came up to get the belts, become a HOFer, rival Tyson, and became a better HW than Tyson.
You can literally argue that the 2 consensus best HWs of his era were not natural HWs lmao. (Putting Klitchko & Lewis to a little later era)

-Usyk soundly beat one of the largest and most skilled HWs twice. A dude who is considered a far better British HW than ol' Frank.

So his natural HW theory is kind of just a bad take when you look at what factually happened size wise in both eras.

Mike Tyson was according to himself always a natural heavyweight. His bones were heavy even though he was short.

His foot size was massiveScreenshot_20250223-162017.png

Mike Tyson says a lot of things to take with a grain of salt. But anyone who has eyes can see his height.
Anyone who watched his fights knows he was always much smaller than 99% if not 100% of his opponents.

Look at his size when he stopped training but got healthy. Natural HWs don't have to eat or train like he did to be 218 pounds ripped up.

He was like 218 pounds when champ. Thats what cruiserweights walk around at.

Also cruiserweight was literally created for small HWs in the late 70's and the initial limit was like 190lbs. That changed. People Tyson's size was the exact reason the division was created. It just never catches on. Also, the best guys from that division have always come up to get HW titles. Holyfield, Haye, Usyk....

Love big frank but he’s talking utter shite. Too many blows to the head. The era mid to end of the 80s was average at best outside of Tyson. And franks upright, stiff boxing style would’ve been easy work for usyk. He’d have been lucky to make it to the latter rounds

Towards the end of franks career the division was pretty stacked but I still wouldn’t count him out against Holyfield or bowe. In fact I think he beats both but Lewis would’ve been a problem. He had the tools to beat usyk imo

Yeah but todays era is even worse.

This is/has been a pretty weak era of heavyweight. I mean, look at the 3 best guys aside from Usyk in this era. Joshua , Fury and Wilder.
I don't think we need to break down Wilder, he's just a big puncher with some very basic boxing skills.

But look at Fury, nothing anyone ever says about this guy is true. He has a rep as this great defensive boxer but he's been dropped 1000 times, basically KO'd by both Usyk and Wilder, probably should have lost to Wallin too.

How about Joshua? The guy is so mentally weak that he makes Tyson look like he has the resolve of prime Ali.

Usyk is a very good fighter, no doubt ,but Bruno is right, it was a different class of fighter in his era. Maybe Usyk would beat all those guys, who knows. But he'd have a tougher fight with Tony Tucker or Razor Ruddock than he did with Tyson Fury. Just my opinion.
