Media Francis Ngannou scrubbed from video on Top 100 knockouts at UFC Apex

It's not an advertisement. It's a top 100 list. They lose their credibility as a sport when they do stuff like this. They should rename it or have a disclaimer.........

"Top 100 knockouts at UFC APEX (fighters must remain in Dana White's good graces to keep their spot on the list)."
Wait till you find out that Martinez brutal KO loss to Davey Grant also isn’t on this list.

you hit the nail on the head. i've ALWAYS been for the fighters to promote themselves. ALWAYS. because now, it becomes THEIR BRAND. if you let the UFC handle all the promotion they'll sink you once you do something they don't like. when you self promote that's just 1 more thing you TAKE from them that they can't use to hurt your career. it's just one more thing the fighter has control of. in that way, you're right, McGregor would've embarrassed UFC had they done this to him, not only would he have made his own highlights of his KOs he'd talk about the guys he beat being 10x the fighters the other guys on the list are and probably put Dana slapping his wife as an "honorable mention" for the list.
Thanks for the viewpoint, really appreciate it! I suppose if all fighters did their own promotion, the UFC would have little power and pay would be much better. On the other side of the spectrum, there can be the opinion that the company should provide the fighters everything (branding, healthcare, etc.) outside of actually fighting. Perhaps it depends on one’s view of life, society and personal responsibility.

i have both opinions. i think the fighters should promote themselves to protect their brand, AND i think the UFC should be providing the fighters with help in that department and healthcare etc., the problem is that will only happen in a perfect world and we know the UFC's #1 goal is to make money by any means necessary, not to help struggling fighters with their careers.

i appreciate your viewpoint as well and agree 100%.

idk how Dana relationship with Francis got so bad to the point of this.

But again this happen with literally everyone who has disagreement with Dana, so at this point we should not be surprised.

It was a lucky punch in my opinion. I always thought if Francis had of been confident he would have granted Stipe the rematch. Leaving it one one especially after such a dominant performance by Stipe in the first fight always left a sour taste in my mouth.
Stipe got utterly dominated for 6min, outstruck, outwrestled, before getting brutally knocked down, and knocked out cold a few seconds later.
No lucky punch involved, Stipe didn't even ask for a rematch and the UFC never tried to book it.

For real. The way Dana talked trash about GSP was a horrible look for the UFC. He treated his #1 star so badly. It's obvious that GSP wasn't letting Dana have his way in negotiations, and little troll Dana couldn't handle it.
GSP and Ngannou were in similar situations, except Ngannou did sucessufully plan his way out far ahead and that's what made the UFC so pissed about Francis.

Whether it's GSP, Jones, Connor, they were all locked in a long contract. Their leverage was limited even if they were big names.

Terribly sad revisionist take on things. Unfortunate what brain rot the media machine behind Francis can instil in the feeble minded.

First fight was a master class by stipe, he left Francis flat footed frantically throwing is big flailing arms all over the place.

If you watch the last sequence in the second fight Stipe thought he had hurt Francis and ran in for the kill leaving himself overexposed. It was just an off night and a lucky punch.

In mma and most combat sports if a fighter is gracious enough to offer a rematch to an opponent he has defeated, the normal civilised thing is if in the second fight the score is equalled we have what is called a trilogy. With a trilogy the fans get to see who is really the best as the one who wins two is the winner.

Sadly this is lost on casuals as in recent years we have had a number of fighters like adesanya and Francis who have chosen to retire, change division and even leave to lower class promotions just to avoid a trilogy because they know they got lucky. Terrible to have such a fragile ego.

Dana and his petty games.

Let's pretend Frank sucks and Stipe is the real champ so when Johnny Boy knocks him out, the pink goof can pretend he finally has the greatest heavyweight of all time in his organization, even better than the ones that got away, Fedor and Frank.

Yup. I'm pretty sure that's why the UFC made the interim title for Gane so quickly after Ngannou fought. And I'm pretty sure they were forced to sign a 1-fight contract with him without a champion's clause. It's the only way he could have left the UFC the way he did. Probably he wanted revenue sharing with the UFC like they have in boxing, and Dana didn't want that precedent being set.

Christ on a cross, that's pathetic.

lol so sad the hatred against real men that has been put into the fatherless by single mothers. To be a vegan feminist and leftie isn’t really counter culture anymore. Try eating a steak and eggs, going to the gym as it will boost your confidence and testosterone.

I only watched the first fight last week. Stipe had Francis panicking with a take down forty seconds in. Had him reeling twice from punches and had him down on the ground again before the first bell.

Try and let go of your anger that is blinding you to reality and don’t be so attached to Fighers, they’re never going to replace your dad. To deny the first fight was a masterclass is just so sad. Thankfully at least Stipe had the class and honour to offer Francis a rematch.

It was a great performance by Stipe, probably his best, along with the 2nd DC fight.

That said, the rematch was much more one sided in favour of Ngannou.

There there. I’m sure your dad still loves you and that you feel better getting that off your chest.

I mean he only KOd the HW GOAT, no big enough for this prestigious list.

I grew up in a (very) large traditionnal christian family. My parents celebrated their 20th anniversary this year.
Also I am a married father who don't smoke, drink or take any drug and I exercise daily. I got all the university degrees you can name, bilingual, successful career.

Having said all of that, allow me: Stipe lost badly to Ngannou in the rematch and wanted none of the smoke of a trilogy.
