WTF are you on about? What tantrum? Francis made $30 M to box. The UFC let Conor box but would not give Francis the same opportunity. Francis made the very wise choice to fight out his contract and become a free agent. Add in the fact he made $10 M for his PFL debut including his signing bonus.

Guess he should have stayed to fight Jon for $8M and then go back to $30/$30 if he loses his belt? So weird when Sherdoggers get stupid when a fighter takes an obvious life changing amount of money rather than stay with U Fight Cheap.

He is right about Sherdoggers being weird. The man lost his baby and people think someone could just move on from that and not have their life spiral. If he comes back to the UFC, I wouldn't see it as a sign of begging Dana for scraps again, but maybe fighting is what keeps him from not spiraling worse.

He made the right move with the fights outside of the UFC, there's no guarantee he would've stayed undefeated in the UFC and could've made only a fraction. He's about to be 39 and past prime, if he could get one more decent payday against Wilder it would be perfect.

Ngannou is 40-something years old, recently has his brain scrambled, has a history of knee trouble, and, aside from punching hard and counterpunching, has never had much in the way of high level MMA skills. Of course the UFC will bring him back for the right price; he'd be their third best heavyweight. Whether he'll accept the right price is the issue, because it will be no more than 5% of what his current contact would pay if he could get another flight on it.
