Francis Ngannou isn't training..?

Overeem does 2 a days. He said so himself, so this isn't a true statement. I think I remember Rico Verhoeven saying he does 2 a days too.
I highly doubt Overeem is training twice a day in MMA at his age and off his cycle. He might try to lift or go for a run then go train MMA later and count that as two training sessions. Even juiced up leagues like NFL stopped that practice. Even for smaller vets like Schev. She doesn't even train twice a day anymore.

"The conversation moves to Rico’s training regimine. Rico says that he has a pretty even balance of training schedule. Strength training about 3 times per week, though even his strength training has a strong conditioning undertone. Skill training 2-3 times per week. Explosive training, he likes looking at multiple sports and how elite athletes train in different fields to have explosive speed and agility. He never goes to failure, and never maxes out. He spars usually twice per week, sometimes three times per week. While sparring they go hard, but are conscious of injuring each other and rarely try to knock one another out."

This doesn't seem like twice a day for Rico either.

Wasn't there a critique of Francis going around like a playboy on private jets before the 1st Stipe fight and accusations that he didn't train hard enough?

Why is it so hard to believe he's still doing twice a days? If you only do one hard session a day, it's completely plausible. Do your grind sessions in the morning, go home, eat, rest up, come back in the evening to do sparring and work on technique/drilling. If you're being smart and not going HAM both sessions (which is where alot of wear and tear comes from) it's doable, but I mean I guess it depends on the individual and what works best for them. If you're as good as Schev you may not need that extra session. If you're like Rico, maybe his body takes to his regiment more. Maybe Reem does 2 a days and does weights and conditioning in the morning and focuses more technique in the evening. Both of our opinions are valid really.

I'm sure Francis is gifted a lot of those items.

According to Francis, he's still starving

Lol franny is funny. I don’t think he could maintain that kind of muscle mass without food or “supplements”, imHo…

I just wanna skip past all the discussion and banter and stuff and see Ngannou vs Gane in January.
I do firmly think that of ALL UFC heavyweights, Gane has the gameplan and skills to *maybe* avoid getting caught with a massive haymaker and have the right tactics to defeat Ngannou.

Having said that, can also see Gane getting flatlined in the 1st round. Like so many before him.

But...on the night....for sure I'll be rooting for Ciryl Gane.

On y va!!!
y allez les Bleus !!

He said in the same interview he wants to be in the UFC and that it's the best place to fight, but that doesn't mean he can accept all the conditions they want top set.

I am not sure about how the champion clause works, like if he could relinquish the belt without losing. Hell, he can do all sort of shit, like vacating the title to go to LHW and then miss weight by 50lbs.
Most wont do that cause they will go back to shit pay.

Why should he train? Gym memberships cost a lot with inflation and all.
