Media Francis is being ungrateful

MMA media did trash the coaching after the Stipe loss. I remember Abu Schaubi saying Francis had no idea what he was doing during that match in terms of engaging in the clinch/wrestling. I think that was during a fight companion or during his show.
I think both sides reacted badly. It's just an ugly breakup. I feel that Francis as an refugee is one of those grass is greener on the side type guy. It's the drive that keeps him going. He got as much as he can from the French coach or even France itself. His current coaching isn't super experienced at MMA either. He was the manager of the gym who also taught the children's bjj class. He took over after death of head coach but he organized it really well I guess.

Ngannou changing gym has really nothing to do with gym or coaching issues.

He always wanted to live in the US, and he moved to Vegas before fighting Overeem when he was still with Lopez, he even asked Lopez to move there with him. Lopez didn't want to move but was cool with Francis leaving.

Problems occured when he realized the complication of having a coach living thousands of miles away, and that costed him the first Stipe fight because he botched his training camp.
He still kept Lopez for 3 more fight camps, ( where he met Gane) while training at Xtreme Couture when not in camp.

He changed coach because he became close to Eric Nicksick.

It all makes a lot of sense.
Lopez is a businessman: he is coach, gym owner, manager (has a full management agency), and even promoter (AREs FC) and lobbyist (he made MMA legal in France).

In 2013, he was a small coach in small gym training an illegal underground sport.He didn't save a poor guy from the street (that part is false btw) and trained him for charity, he made an investment because he saw the potential.

Did he get a return on investment? Fuck yes he did, big time. Acces to the UFC and all the contacts there, legalization of MMA in France (Francis success helped a lot for that), press coverage in his gym.

The only fighters that can intimidate conor are Cabo Diaz and Mature Poirier.

Big Francis hater here (I go back a front from fan to hater).

The narrative was that Ngannou bought his own hype and went to travel instead of training. The acted like an asshole in the build up and got beat for 25 minutes.

I honestly can't believe the amount of drama these grown men can have.

Just say hello, whats up and keep on walking. They are acting like 9 years old.
