Media Francis is being ungrateful

They will throw down and they might have been buds before. People react differently…. Nate never shakes hands or smiles to any opponent but he is one of the most loyal guys out there. Some people prefer not have anything to do with a future opponent.

Gane looked kinda upset by Big Franc acting like he didn’t know him.

here is the full story

This guy is so full of shit.. he can't even articulate what Francis did wrong.. he's saying that Francis should have come out and taken personal responsibility for losing the Stipe fight.. and that it reflected badly on the camp because he didn't do that..? Francis didn't trash his previous camp at all, he just moved on..

Pretty much crazy talk, when Francis speaks, he makes sense, this guy is all over the place and it's got nothing to do with his English.. sounds like he's salty that Francis went to Xtreme couture..

Francis had been quiet for ages. Lopez couldn't stop talking about him and the situation. You use a search engine and you get multiple videos and articles from Lopez' perspective.

From Francis? You get one and it's recent.

Look at these quotes from Francis. They're not nearly as acerbic as some of what Lopez is saying:

Lopez cited issues with Ngannou’s ego and his inability to listen after losing two straight to then-champion Stipe Miocic and former title challenger Derrick Lewis, which sparked issues between the pair. Although Lopez insists it’s not personal with his former student, Ngannou claimed all Lopez ever wanted was attention when he was asked about their past issues.

“Fernand’s problem is that he wants to be famous,” Ngannou said in an interview with GQ. “I can count how many times we had to argue about how he thought I was taking all the spotlight. … Bro, what do you want? If you want the spotlight, you know where the spotlight is. It’s inside the octagon, not on the side. And you chose to be on the side. I don’t know how to (make him famous).

“If you want to be a coach, you have to stand where the coach stands and get what the coach gets. You can’t be a coach and get what the fighter gets. It has always been like that. He mentions how many followers I have on Instagram compared to him. I’m not worried about followers on Instagram. I wish I could throw some to you, but I can’t do that. This has always been a problem, basically.”

But Ngannou thinks the narrative is being blown out of proportion.

“Not a little bit – a lot,” Ngannou said. “Sometimes when I hear them talk about the stories, I don’t recognize myself in it. Are you sure you’re talking about me and not somebody else? The way that they’re talking, I heard that we were training before (my fight against) Alistair Overeem. (That) was two years before I even knew (Gane). That’s just not true.

“That’s something I’m very cool with. We trained for about one month back in January 2019, when I was going to fight Junior Dos Santos. Technically we don’t know each other that much.”

This guy took him off the streets gave him a home, trained him, fed him and Francis treats him like this!
What an appalling character!

they're opponents now. Can't judge that, they're going to fight soon so I can see where he comes from.

Also Gane said "why didn't he said hello"

Francis seems like a reasonable person in these quotes, his coach, not so much..

All the Ngannou haters are really reaching for a reason to not like him..

If he's telling the truth that coach is a weirdo lol

His coach is saying that him leaving after the loss made the camp look bad. Francis didn't say anything about the camp itself. Lopez is in his feelings about Francis leaving. He was complaining about credit as well.

What did they expect? A full teeth smile and good luck (kicking my ass)….?

Plus we probably don't really know the whole story behind the conflict....Francis might have his reasons.
Might have reasons?!

He DOES have his reasons for ignoring his former coach.

The real question is if those reasons are based in truth and reality, or if these reasons are based on miscommunication, misinterpretation of what the other party intended to do.

It could be that one or both parties are just flat out being too egotistical to hash it out (not necessarily get back together, but just hash it out and squash the beef)

or my theory.. there was very little beef with Francis leaving and they all collectively agreed to drum up the “beef” for the media to drive up interest and ppv buys

How did he screw him over? Please elaborate.

Francis wanted to change camps. He wanted to live in America. Fernand has consistently gone out of his way to say he has no issues with Francis leaving - which he obviously does since he can't stop talking about him - and that he just wanted credit. Francis gave him credit. Fernand still didn't shut up about it for years. Francis even actively avoided opportunities to say anything negative. They're probably both at fault to a degree but Francis isn't outright the villain here.

Ever since Francis didn't fight Gane immediately and at the behest of the UFC, everyone has accepted their narrative and began to hate on Ngannou, going as far to say he's afraid of Gane, when the fight is already booked at this point.

You know how I can tell this forum just wants to dump on Francis? It constantly whines about fighter pay, yet they gave him all the shit in the world for asking for more money.
What do you expect from retards around here? They have hatred, no sense in trying to give them facts. They have their heads up their asses and want a reason to hate Ngannou, nothing will convince them otherwise.

If anything, Francis seems like the adult by not engaging in the bullshit, but people are analyzing it like he's scared or petty. People around here are stupid, that's a fact.

I asked a few questions in the thread and elaborated. The two guys I quoted and asked had nothing. I guess I did my job here.

<Fedor23>

Hopefully both of these guys make it to fight night healthy and it's a good one.

That's ridiculous, but I've heard of so much drama over that type of shit it doesn't surprise me. The thing about his coach talking to Francis about how many followers he has, and that Francis is stealing his limelight is insane lol.

It sounds ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as a guy willingly bringing it up in the media for two years.
