Forrest Griffen finally confronts Rampage Jackson on podcast & settle the fight debate once and for all

I’m being very honest and unbiased here - I easily could have seen Ramoage getting that decision it wouldn’t have been a robbery in the slightest.

From Bryce to this.
Respect to Forest for without prompt taking the risk to talk about that.

Surprising to hear he got involved with Power Slap so he could observe different types of concussions.

I am revoking Forrest’s White Card. I am not exactly White myself, but the point stands. You should never feel guilty for who you are. Anyway, Forrest won that fight fair and square.

Rampage needs to dump that turd. His one on ones with fighters are some of the best MMA stuff out there. And change it to Jackson ffs. How that little goof gets to bank off Rampage is beyond me.
Usually on a podcast you need someone who's also able to play that polarizing figure that drives engagement, clout, entertainment. He asks the questions that are harder to ask and takes the fall when things go awry.

A fighter, athlete or name of the show themselves aren't really great in that position.

Bear does his job and it's to drive conversation and stir the pot.

Every podcast needs another guy other than the name of the show.

Like the color commentator/ play by play combo

Good ep. Griffin often surprises by actually having some knowledge and being able to carry a conversation about it. Not just goofing around.

Fun fight.

Forrest won. Both in unoptional reality, as well as wouldashoulda-realm.

Rampage should've steam-rolled Griffin. Zero excuses for that performance.

It was a case of one guy maximizing whatever potential he had, against someone who did the absolute minimum with theirs in that fight.
Rampage still won

But yeah, perfectly stated.

Daily reminded that Forrest Griffin is a fucking moron.

I just watched this ufc card yesterday... keep forgetting the weak ass Co main that was almeida vs cote

It’s like he’s trying to create his own real-life version of Entourage. He can clearly hustle, but he’s gotten on my nerves recently with the manufactured drama and salesy shit.

Think the podcast has reached its peak in quality.

He organizes everything. Rogan has someone doing that shit for him too. He should not be in the foreground though. Just behind the scenes.

Thing is, bear has alot of great guests, but he just doesnt know enough about the history to get the best show.

However, i hear he is going to have a sitdown with tj and cody sitting together and talk that whole rilvary. I hope he doesnt fuck that up due to his lack of knowledge of their history

Sherdoggers hear Forrest half-jokingly apologize for racism in the first minute and turn it off lol.

Was actually a pretty good podcast, Rampage is getting good at having interesting conversations with other fighters and drawing them out of their shells.

Beats Ariel glazing mofos non-stop to get interviews and appease them throughout.

Past few episodes, i noticed rampage getting real good. Those fight recaps with tj and luke, he was only worthy for the name pronouncing. Now he can actually have a convo, without having the need to throw his 3rd grade jokes each time he opens his mouth. Keep evolving

I don't think he needs to be super knowledgeable. The guests and Rampage can provide all the knowledge. Dude just needs to ask the right questions and know how to keep the conversation going.

If jaxxxon gets Fabia ... It's on.

Holy fuck, please make this happen. Have Matt Serra step out from the shadows 15 mins in as a special guest referee.

I think Bear kind plays up the dumb thing to get questions out that casuals may not know the answer to so that Rampage and the guests can interact in a meaningful way. On plenty of occasions during a normal conversation between Page and the guests if they can't remember a certain fight, date, or detail about something he's fired off a correct answer without any sort of hesitation. From what I see the guy does study the game pretty well. He just has to play color commentary to keep things fresh for the average listener.....and to be honest, a lot of us complaining don't fit that demographic.

Thats the thing though. There is certain things he doesnt know. And i dont mean technical shit. Just dont know there history quite enough. One good one is his frank mir episode, or the overeem. Both those guys have such great stories, but he didnt have the history knowledge to really know what to ask to get good stories.

What he needs to do is start getting more knowledgeable people in that discord, or hell surf forums years back. This is coming from just being better prepared, more so than actually being a good host, because he is not bad when him and rampage are not throwing 2nd grade shots at each other after every sentence

I used to think it should have been a draw coming down to rampage getting a close 3rd round that made it 47-47 but I went back and rewatched that round a few months ago and I don’t even know what I thought I saw before cause it clearly a forrest round to me, so 48-46 with rampage taking round 1, forrest taking round 2 with a 10-8, forrest taking round 3, rampage taking round 4 and forrest taking round 5, 48-46 in total

Rampages own argument is that you need to beat the champ to take the belt. He acknowledges that the fight was close. Forest won because Rampage just let him kick the crap out of his leg for 5 rounds.

Rampage landed 73 total strikes(50 sig) in that fight and Forest landed 113.Forest landed 35 leg kicks alone in comparison.

Rampage had a round with 0 strikes where he got controlled for 4+mins.

That era 100% Rampage lost that fight. Forest nearly doubled Rampages out put, landed 50+ more strikes than him. it was a different era of scoring where Octagon control, wrestling and activity were over scored.
And these weren't little baby leg jabs like Condit threw against Diaz. Rampage was clearly compromised by the damage. Forrest absolutely made Rampage look silly by spamming a technique he didn't have an answer for.
