Former UFC fighter "War Machine" interviewed from prison

I think behind the scenes stories about the old days of MMA which this interview is chock full of are quite interesting. Shrug. Yes he said he’s been a Christian now for 11 years now and it’s the first time he’s ever been truly happy and at peace. He made it to the pinnacle of the sport, was banging hot chicks all the time, etc. but said he was a suicidal dirtbag who hated himself.

it would be interesting coming from a respectable human being. coming from some scumbag criminal who is in prison for life, makes everything he says, at least for me, less credible. it's like every fuckin Mafia dude popping up with a youtube channel talking like they were at every big moment during the heyday of the criminal organization, or all these Special Ops guys claiming they're the one who killed Bin Laden, they were at every major military conflict since the Revolutionary war. this shit is all bogus clout chasing, manipulation tactics they use to try and get ANYTHING out of it. criminals are the best known for doing this type of hyperbolic sensationalism.

Didn't know he was in Ely. Just another negative added to Nevada.

I'm sure some people do. People can change. As I said, I haven't listened to it and have no comment on it.
He changed or adapt to fit in. From my life experience I would say you're completely wrong. But who knows. Btw that is what we all do, we play our role. Without rules or consequences you would understand

It’s nothing like that honestly. He didn’t make any wild claims about his career like you’re assuming he did with your analogy. He did an interview for a channel with a measly 7,000 subscribers.

No need to reply to that weirdo/creep…throw that loser on your ignore list.

That fruit is creeping on here 25/8. 😂
Didn't he/she/preferred pronoun used to be a moderator?

yeah, thank you for this. I’ll listen on my commute to work.
Not minimizing what he did but I’m sure we’ve all watched interviews docs and movies about worst cases.

Tbf it's an interesting character study. At least to me.

He doesnt sensationalize anything that he's done and owns up to being a terrible person. He says he wishes his friends would still keep in contact with him, but they dont. But he understands and hopes one day they will.

The thing that stands out to me is that he understands the christian concept, but when he speaks about it, there is so much anger still in his voice, almost like he'd beat someone up who refused to believe in God, if he'd try to convert them.

You can tell he's a guy who rather than suddenly going from zero to 100 is stuck at 70-80 alot of the time, and can barely contain it.

When he was first on the show, i had alot of sympathy for him. He came from a very very bad upringing, and at the time of the show had big problems with his confidence.

After The Ultimate Fighter, he started to lean heavy into this alpha male persona to cover up for his self esteem issues, and that's really where his problems seem to intensify.

Everyone saw the 7-11 video by now lol

The roids and god knows what else he was taking, made it worse. I thought he was a guy who had the potential to do good and was destroyed by his demons. I was curious to see how he was doing in there, which is why I watched the video.

It's clear that although he is trying, there is a long way to go.

Also he stated that the first three years of his sentence were spent in solitary, so that is a total of 5 years this man has done in solitary. That has to have some profound Fx on his mental state. Yikes.

The only unfortunate thing is that he wasn't put in the same cell as Brett Rogers.

What's the gist of this 7-11 video?

He is in his car, after visiting a 7-11 and they wouldnt turn the slurpee machine on or something like that. So he's in the car talking about how angry he is and how he was so close to beating the guy up, and as he's telling the story he's literally yelling in rage. His anger over this small thing is seriously completley over the top. Like he has almost no self control, nor does he really care even.

Damn. A skilled golfer could hit a ball to the next 7-11 around the block there's so many of em, just go to another

I hope his butthole twitches with PTSD every time he sees a bar of soap.

In this reply alone, I've already given this turd more thought than I've ever wanted to.

Imagine being such a failure that you want to kill yourself and fail because you’re such a loser

Now there’s a sympathetic look at mental illness.

Not necessarily in this case, I don’t know, but many good, successful, strong, well rounded people can suffer.

I haven't listened to any of it yet. Just showed up on my Youtube feed.

Maybe next they can do a group interview and include Baroni and Lee Murray?

Just sad, mang. Hasn't he been punished enough....?????? a decade in prison is a lot of time. He needs to be paroled ASAP.
