First of all R.I.P. Benji. Dude was a badass fighter.

And unfortunately story one of that is definitely true. Danny Lefevre(sp) before a fight was in argument over a girl with Benji who told him he was a UFC fighter and to not mess with him. The guy said well I used to be a boxer. Ironically Benjis opponent pulled out right before the fight and the guy was invited to step in for his opponent. And he knocked Benji out. No weigh in, no commission, and a pretty embarrassing result.

In the episode of cops I'm referring to, the cop that brought the guy into the jail told the CO's "He's a kinda popular mma fighter" and they had his face blurred. He was drunk (or high) af and they had him strapped to the restraint chair and one of the CO's said "Calm down Ben". Radach's been arrested quite a few times so I assumed that was him. The guy certainly had the same build and shaved head as Radach.

Radach's opponent had some amateur boxing experience. I wonder if Benji knew that? It's like Tim Sylvia vs. Mercer. Just clinch and get a TD or dive for the legs first thing if your opponent has any kind of a striking background but knows nothing about grappling. Mess around striking and you don't know what will happen.
