For those who live in cities...

What do you prefer?

I've lived everywhere. From big cities like Los Angeles and Dallas to little towns like Wakefield, KS or Randolph, VT. I've lived in Europe and Alaska.

I'm currently floating around West Palm Beach. It's really nice to see all the activities, but last night we went out to dinner and there were THREE wrecks on our side of the road within a 5 mile stretch. All rear end collisions where clearly these fucks were watching youtube or texting.

I much prefer tropical islands, empty anchorages, and no traffic or noise. I'll be in the Berry Islands next week with a few hand selected neighbors.
yup, it's scary, and the bitch of it is, there is not one thing you can do about those people who do those things, you can't even stay out of the way all the time. Self-driving cars will not only be welcome but necessary. People cannot stop their own behavior.

In NYC this is not true, if you take public transporation there is no avoiding all sorts of fuckin bullshit
that's what anyone there says so it must be true. No avoiding it there, from what I understand, people don't typically drive there for whatever reason.

Too expensive. Too used to it being the other way also

why anyone would be extorted to live in an insane asylum I wouldn't know but that's what cities are today. Depending on your job, all your money goes to rent and utilities and that's a lot of pain for nothing. It's no wonder people are so crazy, the weakest minds out there are bound to do nutty shit.

Lived in the city all my life and been fiendin to get out for a long while now.. the goal is something like the pic TS posted.. like some cabin type setup around nature.. just gotta save enough up..

I have to go down jetties full of passengers and I'm always saying "sorry, please may I get past? Thank you".

I always think of this when I'm coming back up. Always.

In my experience cities are crime ridden, polluted, noisy, traffic jammed and filthy. The people tend to be callus, rude and nihilistic. Everything negative about our species is maxed out in large cities.

And as a cherry on the cake its expensive. To experience the above described hellscape you also need to pay top dollar.

Unless you grew up in it and were molded by it to the point where you don't really know of any other life, or you have to live there due to a specific job, I just can not understand why anyone would willingly choose to do so.
