I originally recorded this to entire a contest for Austin beat gutarist Have no idea how. You had to submit a short video of you basically showing off speed but it had to be improvised.. Along with recordings from previous bands I've been in

My friends encouraged me to submit a video, I didn't take it seriously but aparantly they chose 10 guys and I'm one of them.

I personally thought my video was sloppy as hell loll!sd And i didn't think there was any way is hear back from them. But I figured I would share so I uploaded it on youtube

Congrats man! I can imagine there are a ton of guitarists in Austin. Pretty cool you got chosen

^ad im not trying to be a bump whore. I really enjoy heating any sort of advise on Sherdog. I feel like my friends just stoke my ego and i do need critisism. And that youngsters

figured some guys would like guitar playing!

no offense I cant imagine in such an amazing musical city as Austin that this video would be considered for a best guitarist competition.

I don't know why people are shitting on you. Probably because they can't even memorize the pentatonic scales. It sounded great. My only advice would be to run a bit less straight up and down the scales instead of playing the notes in progression so often, the same way you did at the beginning of the second big lead riff you did with a sweep pick. The rhythm playing was good blues rhythm. I don't know what people want. Maybe for you to reinvent the blues?

Very solid playing.
