he said it on Showtime and he confused Gevonta Davis with Adrien Broner

Last time he said it would be 7 years and that Loma was being underpaid by Top Rank. Floyd is mad at Tank and now trying to scare him. Tank and Broner ganged up on Floyd recently. He was the latest to turn on him and bite the hand that's been feeding him from what I understand.

Haha!

As soon as this fight was mentioned I said it could be that they lost faith in Davis for being lazy as fuck and wanted to feed him to a shark for a cash out type of fight. Looks like I was spot on.

Lol, He accidentally called Gervonta Davis "Adrian Broner" in that clip. Same same, but different.

Well, people would get to see me actually root for Lomachenko for once.

That's sounds like a plausible reason for such a change of heart regarding fighting Lomachenko. Would be a good fight for the fans.

IMO it would be a good fight for Floyd (if he actually has turned on Gervonta) to teach him about levels in the game and a good fight for Lomachenko. I would fully expect Tank to be embarrassed, not win a single clear round regardless of how he looks in his next fight (at 130) against Cuellar who is coming off a loss (Split) to Mares, and stopped.

Keep in mind, not long ago Loma was considered a bully if he had stuck around 130 particularly when he accused Floyd of hiding Tank from him. Trying to get a fight with Tank was considered a weak move on his part by fans on this forum.

Split feelings. Tank has talent and part of me still wants to see Tank/Loma just to settle the trash talk at 130. That said, Tank is a bit of a dissapointment. If this happens, it won't be the best fight available, but it won't be a bad one.

Tank has power in both hands. I can see him stopping Loma if Loma gets over confident and tries to trade with him.

Davis is in no way ready for Lomachenko and it's doubtful if he ever will be. I do think that people are a little quick to write Davis's career off, though. He may be an idiot, but he is only 23 and has had a single genuinely poor performance (regardless of the stage that it happened on).

Well, he's just got to get his shit together. His main issue is that with his frame he's unikely to get much success above 130, hence he won't pull Broner-like achievements. But he can still have a couple other good runs at 130 even if he loses to Lomachenko (and he will if it happens). Maybe he can steal a belt at 135 if he fights a lame titlist.

On the bright side for Davis, pretty much all the titlists at 35 are lame right now.

loma doesn't really trade with people.

he will stay in punching range and he will punch davis. davis will not be landing much of anything on him, though. lomachenko clowns him left and right.

Davis has been going around saying that he was allegedly setup (for failure) having been forced to fight for a world title against Pedraza earlier than he wanted to. This is according to him/his social media account handler(s). Here are his/their tweets in response to the "Lomachenko fight is next" news.

Davis made clear with Twit-mojis that he finds the idea comical.
But Bob Arum told me that indeed, “Loma has a hard fight May 12. If all goes well for both guys it would make a good event later this year. Floyd did talk to Todd a few days ago about this.”
Internet chatter has Floyd putting this news out to eff with Gervonta, after Gervonta busted his chops, for under-promotion, in a since deleted Tweet. “Don’t think so,” said Arum.
DuBoef, too, confirmed on Twitter that he and Floyd had talked about making Loma vs Gervonta.
Davis is favored over Cuellar at Barcays in their super feather faceoff and coming-up-from-130 Loma is favored over Jorge Linares, the WBA 135 champ, when they tango in NYC and on ESPN May 12.
Not that long ago, Floyd said he’d be taking his time with Gervonta, being that he’s young and has room to grow and learn. Seems like maybe he’s more open to accelerating his steps up in a big way.
Arum confirms Mayweather talk of Lomachenko-Davis

if tank wasn't an asshole i'd be excited for him. alas...

The Davis/Mayweather tension is news to me. If it results in Tank vs Loma, keep the drama coming!

I can't see him landing a decent single shot on Lomachenko. Not fast enough and his timing isn't amazing.

Yeah I know Loma fighting Tank was seen as a weak choice of opponent but I think the mood has shifted slightly to the point where now people wouldn't mind just seeing Tank get absolutely taken to school by Loma, just for fun.

Agreed. Lomachenko is a terrible matchup for Davis. Davis would have to suddenly show me so much more than he ever has to beat Lomachenko. No way.
