Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor PBP (Discussion)

Stay class white America lmao

This is how a lot of MMA fans are. Yet, every time a black fighter or fans call them out, they get accused of the tired 'race card' excuse.

Lol the most reasonable response on Sherdog, ever. Let's be bros, Ogata.

Btw I think it was a legit win for Floyd, he's a master. But Conor did surprisingly well.

I have a hard time being unbiased because I trained with Tony Pep who was one of Floyds toughest opponent who later became a sparring partner of Floyd. Because of that, I was very defensive and greatly annoyed about the shit Conor said.

Guys like Pernell Whitaker, Tony Pep and Floyd are known as incredible defensive out-boxers who when you spar with them, they have such an incredible speed and ability to over load your senses with various feints and movement that it feels like you are getting heavier with some invisible force.

That and Conor saying he was going to KO him in the first round was like holy shit, does he not understand the art of out-boxing.

Anyway, I thank you for being respectful, most guys would say something nasty as a reply. So I appreciate your classiness and yes, lets be bros, I will watch it again once the post fight razzle dazzle wears off.

No one in the history of boxing except for Floyd when he fought Manny and possibly Floyd in this fight has made more than 200 million. I read several articles saying half of his purse will go to WME. Even if only 30% goes to WME, he will not end up with 100 million. Either way, he got the shit kicked out of him and stopped by a 40 year old fighter who all you Conor nuthuggers said couldn't finish him. Floyd is not a hard puncher, and never has been and has even less power at this age and yet finished him. Sad. Eat your crow and shut up.
....except that Conor has stated repeatedly that he is getting fighter money AND promoter money for this.
Also, to clarify, he gets paid for the guaranteed purse, as well as a % of PPV points and ticket sales, merchandise, etc...

There's a difference between patience and sandbagging

I don't think he sand bagged, I took the fight for what is was at face value. Conor had some initiative and he does hit hard. He also has reach and size, he landed some good rights to the body and messed with Floyd's rhythm with his long jab.

Was he Floyd's toughest challenge? No. But Floyd had to work a little. I just don't see Floyd risking his record just to string an opponent along. He gets paid regardless of the way he wins.

Props to Conor for fighting Mayweather regardless of the outcome. Fun fight

Ya it takes a lot of balls to accept a 30 million payday against a feather-fisted pensioner who shorter, weaker, and smaller than you.

What you're saying makes absolutely zero sense - IN THIS case.

McGregor didn't have a single flaw that Mayweather capitalized on. He gassed by himself. That's it. Mayweather barely pressured him. McGregor just doesn't have a boxer's cardio.

If McGregor could have kept it together and maybe won one more round, he would have beat Floyd.

That fight is a lot closer than you think. You'll see what I mean when you watch it again.

Conor looked like a fucking giant in there next to him, alright.
Mayweather looked like one of those African pygmies next to him.
