Floyd actually got lucky

He lost the first round. If this fight was 1 round he would have lost the fight.

If Conor boxes again, it's going to hurt me when he's announced, "with a professional record of 0 wins and 1 loss"

What a joke. Each of those photos except for the uppercut are either missing or glancing. None are flush except the uppercut. Even with the uppercut, the problem was it had no fist speed on it. Please show me photos where Floyd's face was all distorted with huge spray of sweat coming from the impact? Even the uppercut there are like 30 sweat droplets flying that I counted. Whereas with each of Floyd's shots on Conor, his face doesn't even look like Conor anymore, it looks he's experiencing massive whiplash face all distorted and there are like a million sweat droplets flying.

You guys are fucked.
In my opinion, everyone won. The fight was supposed to be the worst match in history, a complete joke. It turned into Floyds best fights in a decade. I didnt want to see a finish in round 1 nor a boring 12 round decision that Floyd is known for. Conor brought the fight to him, he did more than what we expected the guy to do. Conor landed 12 significant punches that were clean. Even IF Floyd gave the first 3 rounds to Conor, he took a risk of taking something solid. He hit Floyd more than what some pro boxers can say they have. It was fun to see the GOAT face a guy with NO experience in pro boxing.

Conor earned respect from many pro boxers that night, analysts, enthusiasts, and the media who said Conor would not land one punch ate shit that night. Please....dont be like Jose Aldo on Twitter lol a salty grudge holding bitch that he is.

Conor and Floyd laughed to the bank in th end.

I agree with much of your post. It was fun to imagine a fight between an old Floyd vs a young MMA lion. If it wasn't I wouldn't have been here before the fight posting my analysis threads on their strengths and how I thought the fight would go.

That's partly why I'm a bit pissed off because I actually expected Conor to bring a bit more than he did. The reality wasn't so great. His reflexes, footwork and head movement positively surprised me but everything else was a huge disappointment. Such as the supposed power - holy shit that was the No.1 key to unlocking Floyd, this mystical power, yet he didn't bring it. I thought he'd have improved his very well know cardio weakness. I thought he would have had more than just one bloody set up (the uppercut counter to Floyd's lead right hand). They had 50 goddamn fights to watch and learn from and all they could come up with is one goddamn trap? Shit man. What added to my disappointment was that Floyd had degraded heaps even compared to his Berto fight. So Conor really should have done a lot better.

Some people are saying Conor landed all these punches. All I've seen so far are the photos where Floyd is connecting showing Conor's face distorted, skin flung and contorted from the acceleration, thousands of beads of sweat flying off from the impact. Can people post similar photos of Conor landing on Floyd showing Floyd's face and skin contorting, thousands of beads of sweat flying off? Where are these photos???

Conor doesn't even know how to throw an uppercut properly. The trajectory of his uppercut is completely wrong. He had that punch flying straight up when it hit Floyd's chin. The problem with that is it pops Floyd's chin up and as the head rotates backwards, the chin escapes back too and the punch continues up without contacting the chin anymore. Basically it lets the chin escape from getting any of the weight of the punch and there is no further energy transfer into the head.

The correct way to throw an uppercut is to make sure the trajectory is upwards and very slightly forwards i.e aiming slightly diagonally up (striking under his chin). That way, even when the head rotates back the fist is still trapped under the chin and the full weight of the shot continues releasing energy into the head. You can see when boxers practise uppercuts, they rotate the punch into a circular motion which brings the punch back to their guard. At the time the punch contacts with under the chin, it is not moving straight up but instead up and slightly forwards.

You could see Conor had no idea how to throw an uppercut when he was hitting the heavy bag during the open workout. The angle at impact was totally incorrect. This is how you throw a fucking uppercut. See how the punch is not just going up but also slightly forward.

Fuck you guys there is so much technical shit that goes into this. I'm not some fucking guru, this is 101 shit with any half decent boxing trainer. This really astounds me that a so called best MMA fighter doesn't even get the basics of this. Sorry but I'm quickly starting to realise that hand striking in MMA is at a very, very low level compared to boxing.

It was too dark in the stadium and Conor couldn't properly see where his punches were going. If it was brighter, Mayweather loses within 2 rounds
