Floyd actually got lucky

In a day of shit posts this one stands out, congratulations, I think
{<huh}

and conor hit floyd more than pacman and alvarez did in less rounds. Whats your point? Should ya go through the fact Conor never boxed among other disadvantages lol its a stupid argument. This was the GOAT. Why not just enjoy a fun fight.
The only reason Conor hit Floyd more than Manny is because Floyd stood right in front of Conor and took Conor's shots like it was nothing as i stated above. He was cautious against Manny becuase he was powerful, fast and had a good cardio. You know like every pro boxer is and has

it was a decent performance by Conor, but Floyd was toying with him after a couple of rounds.

All boxing matches for Conor will now be one round.

I just get a kick out of everyone who bitches about the fight when it was actually a fight lol. If Floyd didnt fight as usual people would still be bitching. For once we had our moneys worth yet excuses are flowing from both fan bases. Its silly but I should know better, I been here 10 years and I should know thats what to expect on Sherdog. The M.O is Sherdog posters are the experts and the boxing and MMA analysts/enthusiasts know nothing....

Conor wasnt supposed to touch Floyd. He did often. Even 4 times when he hit him flush and hard. So if in fact he was giving Conor those rounds, that was damn risky and stupid. Floyd even said he was thrown off by the awkwardness and it took him until round 4 to figure him out when usually it only takes him 2 rounds with pro boxers. Again Sherdog knows more than the experts of course. Btw I speak in general, not meaning you.

well, using that logic, so is Conor because Floyd would have brutally finished him given he's the better boxer by miles.

not sure why your guys can't just accept that Conor lost.
Im a Floyd fan. More so than a Conor fan. I just happen to agree with many pros who commented on the fight and saw what I saw. Conor gave Floyd problems. He was holding back yes, but he still lost those rounds. Taking shots to weather a storm isnt that smart not to mention Floyd MISSED more punches than he connected with until after round 5

Floyd let Conor punch himself out on Floyd's defense. None of that shit did a damned thing to Floyd. Conor's power was nowhere to be found.

Conor and his corner were so stupid they mistook that for winning.

Even in hindsight Conor fans are (still) so stupid they mistake that for winning.

Then Floyd started fighting, found a home for that right hand, and Conor was gasping in round 4 and it was downhill from there.

Conor's only real defense last night was running, which is the story of the fight. Boxing is as much (or more) defense as it is offense.

Floyd is 40, hadn't fought in years, was never a power puncher or balls-out aggressive, and was tiny compared to Conor. And he had Conor running as fast as he could.

Making this out to be a moral victory is hilarious. You guys gotta accept reality and move on.

If Conor was allowed to kick in there, he could have won too. Mayweather cheated anyway and doesn't deserve a rematch

He lost the first round. If this fight was 1 round he would have lost the fight.

If Conor boxes again, it's going to hurt me when he's announced, "with a professional record of 0 wins and 1 loss"

...

Conor would have lost the fight even if it went to 12 rounds, and Conor was not going to knock him out. Still that fight got called off way too soon, he was standing, left him go to the ground and then step in. I'm pissed of the Ref, he should be able to see Floyd right hand was not damaging Conor chin or face at the end.

Whats your point ? lol
And Conor never boxed before....for being "carried" He is lucky these didnt hurt him. He was touched.

What a joke. Each of those photos except for the uppercut are either missing or glancing. None are flush except the uppercut. Even with the uppercut, the problem was it had no fist speed on it. Please show me photos where Floyd's face was all distorted with huge spray of sweat coming from the impact? Even the uppercut there are like 30 sweat droplets flying that I counted. Whereas with each of Floyd's shots on Conor, his face doesn't even look like Conor anymore, it looks he's experiencing massive whiplash face all distorted and there are like a million sweat droplets flying.

You guys are fucked.

I agree, and Floyd was lucky this wasnt a 4 oz glove

Conor doesn't even know how to throw an uppercut properly. The trajectory of his uppercut is completely wrong. He had that punch flying straight up when it hit Floyd's chin. The problem with that is it pops Floyd's chin up and as the head rotates backwards, the chin escapes back too and the punch continues up without contacting the chin anymore. Basically it lets the chin escape from getting any of the weight of the punch and there is no further energy transfer into the head.

The correct way to throw an uppercut is to make sure the trajectory is upwards and very slightly forwards i.e aiming slightly diagonally up (striking under his chin). That way, even when the head rotates back the fist is still trapped under the chin and the full weight of the shot continues releasing energy into the head. You can see when boxers practise uppercuts, they rotate the punch into a circular motion which brings the punch back to their guard. At the time the punch contacts with under the chin, it is not moving straight up but instead up and slightly forwards.

You could see Conor had no idea how to throw an uppercut when he was hitting the heavy bag during the open workout. The angle at impact was totally incorrect. This is how you throw a fucking uppercut. See how the punch is not just going up but also slightly forward.

Fuck you guys there is so much technical shit that goes into this. I'm not some fucking guru, this is 101 shit with any half decent boxing trainer. This really astounds me that a so called best MMA fighter doesn't even get the basics of this. Sorry but I'm quickly starting to realise that hand striking in MMA is at a very, very low level compared to boxing.
