Media First time i see George Saint Pierre vs Matt Serra 1. Damn, prime GSP was three time the size.

Serra was always small for the division. In his prime he was a lightweight..

Now he's a heavyweight..

He shoulda stayed out of Willy Wonka's gum

I can't see there being a bigger upset in all of MMA. I actually can't even see it being possible statistically. The odds of there being a season called "The Comeback" where the winner gets a title shot is crazy and in this climate doesn't seem like it will ever happen again. Then you add the fact that Serra was a journeyman and fought other journeymen that he was slightly better than to win TUF then face one of the (future) greatest WW's of all time and KO him is insane. The rematch solidified how crazy it was that Serra won the first fight because in reality he didn't belong in there. Serra wasn't even a gatekeeper at best the stars aligned for him.
Only Bisping/Rockhold 2 can compete with this upset

5'6 Amateur striker Ko'd the "Greatest MMA fighter of all time" in his prime lol.
In his prime? Lmao<Lmaoo>
Gsp the MMA GOAT?

<36>

Just shows how far mma is from having the standard of greats that boxing has produced

I guess it is a new sport

MMA fighters will be much better than the Current guys in another decade or two imo
You don't need to have St-Pierre as GOAT, but you're making yourself look clueless acting like he's not in the conversation.

GSP has the best skill-set in all of MMA alongside Demetrious Johnson.

I remembered it as a punchers chance but Serra actually had to connect numerous times to get gsp out of there. Georges panicked once hurt.

Yeah the odds of that working out for them like it did are astronomical. Imagine having fighters like Erik Silva and others who were suppose to make something of themselves but never put it together fight for a chance at a title then fight Kamaru Usman lol.

He has too many fights to even be comparable. Serra was 9-4 and Lutter was 8-3 when they got their title shots. Not even sure who to use as equivalent examples here. Lol

The first big shot actually missed, and GSP slipped twice. Then he got cracked in the ear - which started the stumbling. Then one big shot on the chin dropped him to his knee and stumbled him more. Panic wrestling, then another clean one put him flat on his back before he was mounted. Took a bit, and the big shot on the ear was a huge factor, I'm sure. It's not what put him down, but it definitely ensued panic and stumbling.

Exactly! Also his "trained eye" just means he is on steroids lol not that he is an expert at detecting PED use.

There are obvious visual signs throughout his career, and many non visual signs. Don't pretend that it's an impossibility. We don't have to turn the thread into a GSP was on the juice thing.

Serra was outstriking GSP before he rocked him and tapped him. It was not a fluke. The better man won that night.

So before the shot that had GSP Rocked Serra was winning the striking? 2 min in and GSP landed 10 sig strikes to Serra's 6 and two of those were little leg kicks.

One minute later Serra rocked GSP and capitalised on it. Good on Matt for taking the win. He was the better man on the night but that was a result of his FLUKE LUCK. Accept it and move on with life.

Perhaps you want to discuss how Mike Russow didn't land a FLUKE punch on Todd Duffee.

GSP immediately shooting for a takedown in the rematch just further proves how the first fight was NOT a fluke.

Georges wanted NO part of striking with Serra in the rematch. He knew Serra would’ve found his chin again.

Equivalent to Japanese can taps "Greatest MMA fighter of all time" in his prime..... lol

We get it though.... he wasn't in his prime in his late 20s, 20ish fights into his career. More lols
Hmmm silva 17 unbeaten streak 11 straight championship defences... Thats prime silva 0 L's. Not pride silva before he got his BJJ black belt.

Gsp got dropped by a 5'5 bjj specialist w/ amateur level striking in a title fight, that's far more embarrassing than getting caught in a heel hook.

This just shows the lowest level of striking possible in combat sports is effective on prime GSP , we saw this w/ Serra and we saw it again against Shields.

Nowhere near as obvious as this sign :

Whatever narrative helps you sleep at night bud. I won't let reality get in the way of your fairytale world about your hero.

Chris Weimdna, who sucks per sherdog, murdered your boy. He is a terrible striker, per sherdog. Keep up the games though. They're cute and funny. He was also outstuck by Japanese cans prior to getting subbed. Again, whatever suits your deluded views bud.

lol 40 year old Silva vs arguably the 2nd best MW of all time("who sucks per sherdog")

Compared to when GSP lost the belt: 5'5 journeyman lightweight.

Yeah thanks I think I'll stick to my "deluded" narrative you can take yours.

Thats why Silva fanbois are the most biased fanbase. Thats just laughable.

GSP losing at 26 years old = In his prime.

Silva losing at 28 and 29 years old = Nowhere near his prime.

That is Silva's retarded crew of cock suckers logic.
Read the comment above yours for delusion

I kind of just look at it logically silva when he was beating world class opponents, was a lot better than he was in pride.
