First computer?

As incredible and impressive as was, it was purpose-built, though, right? So, not really a computer in the modern (i.e. general purpose programmable) sense in that case.

The old black and white Macintosh.

LOL fuck Apple with Steve Job's femur.
I remember when my dad brought home a Toshiba 244mhz with color, and my mind was blown.
TandyRadio Shack had this one out in 1980, affectionately known as the Trash-80 (TRS-80).

"1980: July - Radio Shack introduces the TRS-80 Color Computer, and sells for US$400."
"The gray/silver color scheme was fetching for the original TRS-80 Model I computer, but it just doesn't work on the Color Computer - it has to be one of the ugliest computers ever." -oldcomputers.net

I still remember when I first got into modding my/the family computer I had something like this....a cone that went from the fan to the side of the case, which had air slits in it. to better "guide the air out" or whatever

obviously it was almost certainly completely useless. but at the time, man I felt like such an elite fucking hacker getting this thing installed on my computer with a see through side panel

This but it barely counts as a computer although it was and it predates the commodore 64 of the TS.

Same. I still remember that annoying sound the tapes played when loading games, which took a couple of minutes and more often than not crashed during the loading screen!. You also had to play the tape at a specific volume, otherwise the game wouldn't load. I remember having to write down different volumes for different games. The 80's were fun.

A few minutes? I remember on the C64, I start to load the game, eat dinner and take a shower, and when I came back it was still loading.
