I don't really want to own them but the nutbags in this country you have to. Horrible that my thought process that I'll shoot to kill if you enter my property.

I'll buy a decent couple of guns. A handgun next to the bed, the same in the lounge.

Which courses have you been on to get your license? I renewed my Guard Card but not needed apparently.

After the shooting of 3 kids the other week with a person legally allowed to buy guns while under doctor care, wondering how easy it is to get your hands on damaging weapons.

Gun ownership is a start. Next would be a front lawn streamer of "taxation is theft" and telling strangers online that there are only 2 genders because God said so.

Its good to have defensive capabilities, and to be in charge of your own safety, not dependant on the (corrupt) state for such things.

Congratulations.

That said, you're operating from a position of irrational fear, based upon media sensationalism. Your chances of being shot on any given day are very low, and you're much more likely to die from heart disease or cancer.

What are you mumbling on about?

I was in the 3rd Instructor Course for concealed carry in Texas back in 1995.

You should checkout the weapons and imbeciles section of Sherturd here: https://forums.sherdog.com/forums/weapons-and-tactics.65/

How's the hips treat'n ya these days??

I told you you didn't need some card but whenever I asked what you were talking about you never really answered me.

I've taken conceal and carry , pistol 1 and 2 and carbine 1 and carbine 2 at top gun and I also attend tactical shooting class and run those ranges as often as possible.

I do not think it's horrible you have to have them or anything like that they are just part of my culture and part of my life and don't give me any kind of gross or icky feelings at all

Why would you feel bad about defending yourself your home and your family? It's not like you asked whatever criminal you are dealing with to pick you

Maybe if you're old, obese, or a long time smoker.

If you're not any of those you're much more likely to die from being shot or getting in a car accident. I guarantee you I'm not dying of a heart attack or cancer any time in the next like four to five decades at least though in fairness I have the manlet cancer resistance buff so YMMV.

If most people in a society truly do need a gun for self defense like in Latam shitholes(where they're mostly banned) then yes that is awful and a sign of a horribly unsafe society.

Fortunately most Americans do not need a gun, most violence occurs in a relatively small number of high crime zip codes. Your average American suburbanite is more likely to shoot themselves or their wife than they are to get shot by some random assailant.

Thats the overall reality. You have more to fear from the processed food in your pantry than you do being shot in a home invasion as a regular every day joe/jane.
