Isn't it clear by now Mc.G is NOT going to defend his belt, but Zuffa is letting him hold on to it until there's no other choice (i.e. a second defeat by Diaz)?

I mean what more do we need beyond that at this point? he LOST to Diaz and said he'd defend his belt... and here he is, fighting Diaz again and talks about potential fights... and NONE are at FW...

note: Conor nuthuggers, please learn math. If Conor does not defend his belt at UFC 200, he will effectively NOT defend his belt for more (at least) 10 months.
So please spare me with that "not 6 months passed" crap, as you obviously cannot count.

I love Conor and the passion he lits in you guys.

That said, what a blockbuster would McG vs GSP be!

That said also, GSP will undoubtedly take that.

In other words: Firas-GSP ducking Lawler.

I'm not surprised.

GSP really reaching for the stars.

GSP UD's either one, probably finishes Conor on the ground if he wants to expend that much energy.

GSP is going to come out of retirement to fight a guy that he outweighs by 20 lbs or more?

So brave.

watch out MM, gsp is coming for you soon.

GSP likely beats either (unless Diaz pulls off a sub from his back) Hopefully after a warm up GSP will fight Lawler instead of undersized guys.

Would be cool to have GSP back though

Nothing wrong with a warm up. It is better than staying retired. Hopefully after a warm up or 2 he fights someone like Lawler (if he comes back)

What makes you say that? GSP has been off forever. A tune up fight would suit him well. And let's face it, Conor - GSP would draw far more in terms of PPV buys than Lawler GSP would. Lawler and GSP are two of the quietest most polite fighters on the planet.

GSP gets an easy win, a huge payday and a tune up fight to take on the dangerous Lawler. Assuming Lawler still has the belt.

GSP has never ducked anyone at 170. And we can finally put all this superfight talk to rest about him refusing to fight Anderson Silva. Look what happened to Conor when he moved up. Silva has fought several times at 205. Yes he fought at 170 at the start of his career but he would never make 170 now. Silva would be larger and longer than GSP and is a superior striker. Mind you GSP might be able to do what Sonnen did but again Sonnen also fought at 205 and is a huge 185 pounder. GSP simply might not be able to muscle down the bigger, lankier Silva.

All of Conor's bullshit about wanting to move up and and challenge other divisions is bullshit.. He can't defend the division he is champion of anymore because he can't cut the weight is the real reason.

He can't even make weight at 145 now with the IV ban is in place..

Might as well strip him.

GSP is the only 3 of the GOAT candidates (Fedor, GSP, Andy) never to fight anyone bigger than him now not only does he not want to take a fight at his own weight class... He wants to fight a LW and a guy who fights at FW.

True, I'd just prefer, if he comes back at all, that he fights legit fights and not go the Fedor route of fighting complete nobodies for $$.

come on GSP

put Robbie in your headlights..

So what? He has been off since November of 2013. That almost 2 and a half years. Fighting for the title first fight back would be plain stupid. You might want to think before commenting, you will at least "sound" smarter.

He wants a money fight and a warmup fight, this is the best option.

I wish Firas would just shut up.

But, I suppose it could be some kind of ploy. That's the problem with the direction the UFC is heading. Everything is about shit talk, and sound bites. But none of this shit suits GSP. it's not his style, and I'd be embarrassed if it was.

Andy isn't a GOAT candidate but a cheater. Fedor was a HW fighting HWs - what do you not get about that?

I am sure GSP will fight some legit fights after a warm up. Who knows? Maybe Fedor will too? Can't blame either guy though. Fighting nobodies or much smaller guys is still better than staying retired.

Fefor better hurry though because he is 40. GSP has much more time
