Fiorot vs Rose--Not a lock; but close?

First off, I think Rose is a better mixed-martial artist. If you placed both of their skillsets in identical bodies, I favour Rose in that match-up.

That said, Fiorot looks like the largest flyweight in the division (size in cage); she throws more volume than Rose--almost double; I think she's stronger and likely hits harder; and you could argue that she's the better striker. Though, I tend to think Rose is a little craftier on the feet--in MMA.

Two questions:

1. Shouldn't Rose be like at least a +250 dog in this fight?
2. Assuming Rose wins, how does she get it done? Is she out-grappling Fiorot or out-landing her for at least 15 minutes?

i think Rose is not an underdog because she was a champion. even in a different division, oddsmakers tend to favor the champ vs someone who wasnt a champ.
if i were her coach i would tell her to try to get Manon on the ground and use some of her excellent submission skills to try to get her out of there. Rose is an excellent striker but Manon has a much deeper background in striking martial arts. not saying Rose can't KO her but we have never seen Manon on the ground so it's definitely worth a try

Rose is super talented striking. She can throw every strike with either leg/hand with great effectiveness. Her footwork is outstanding. I would never rule her out in a stand up fight.

Obviously she is a wild card, but Fiorot hasn't fought anyone close in MMA with the ability Rose has.

It's a great match up.
Rose might be undersized here but she has power, amazing boxing and has shown great offensive footwork being able to track Joanna and Weili. I wasn't fully sold on Fiorot until she dominated a very tough style to look good against Chook. Both girls have paths to victory on the feet but Rose would be smart to wrestle. I am leaning Fiorot because of her size but Rose winning or dominating would not shock me in the slightest.

This is all said with Rose at 100%... if Rose doubts herself like she did against Esparza she's getting dominated here. Fiorot is way too sound of a striker to be fighting half committed.

I wouldn't gamble on Rose. On her or against her. Her biggest enemy is herself, everytime.

The same Rose showed up in all of those fights. She against KK and Carla because they were totally different matchups.

KK was a cardio machine who used to push the pace and do her best work in the clinch. Rose has always struggled with that sort of pace and has never been amazing in the clinch.

Against Carla she was up against a legit takedown threat. And getting stuck under Carla getting tired out was another concern.

It's never psychological at all with Rose. People always go on like she's mentally weak and all this nonsense, but when she's broken in the cage, it's always been because her opponent broke her, not because she did it to herself.

Rose is way more diverse, and has the superior jab and footwork.
She has better kicks also, so how is that chick better?
