Congrats mate,
Some nice clinch work and knees. As you said yourself you were a bit wild with your hands and over balanced on some of your punches. But well done, he took a fair bit of punishment.
Thanks again everyone. Keep the suggestions coming.
Yeah, next time I fight I won't be repeating "Wanderlei Silva...Wanderlei Silva..." in my head for 3 minutes before the fight.
Got to give him great props. He had no quit in him at all. When he tapped, it was literally seconds before he went out, as was seen in the vid. He came to fight, that's for sure.
I had moments where I remembered technique. He said that the liver shots (the kick, knee, and punch against the fence) were what really drained the fight out of him, that and he couldn't break out of the clinches.
He certainly infected me with his energy. We don't really have guys who go all out like that at our school, so I just kind of, well, Wanderlei Silva'd a lot of the fight.
Definitely want more amateur experience before I go pro. My technique really needs to get cleaned up, and I want to be a lot more comfortable on the ground. It was really nice being about 5 times stronger than my opponent at 205, though.
