Finnegan's Wake

White Rabbit would be so fucking bad ass.

Finn, I've been meaning to ask you, when you were on II, how much strength did you lose? I'm thinking of finally doing the 50 day program, but don't want to lose the strength I've gained the past year.

Well, I gained strength on it actually.

Huh, that seems good to me. I need to drop some BF, I may do that as well as my p/p/s routine, just tone my assistance work back, do you think that will be too much?

To be honest, I seem to be a work capacity anomaly, so I'm not sure where you are at as far as that goes. Lifting heavy once twice a week (5 days apart) with some weighted conditioning exercises in the middle really worked well for me on the II split. I never stayed true to his strength routines. I was doing basically a two day split w/ barbells.

That's kind of my thinking right now. Do a 2 day split and then follow his 50 day plan, drop some BF% and get my conditioning and work capacity up. I think I'll do my squat day tomorrow to finish out the week and then start the warrior challenges and stuff Monday. Thanks, Finn.

Conditioning:
Bas Rutten's All Around Fighting (modified) 3 min. rounds
7 rounds w/ the following modifications:
Every other "DEFENSE" I worked on head movement and slips. "DEFENSE AND STAY DOWN" I used for GnP. Right is right elbow, Left is left elbow, Pushups was a stream of downward punches after posturing up.

FInisher: Sandbag Bear Hug
150 lbs x 3 minutes
1 minute rest
200 lbs x 3 minutes

Impressions:
Not bad this morning. The sky is spitting evil in the form of sleet and snow, so I've gotta get ready for work a bit early. More later.

you can keep your p/p/s but you may want to drop it down to a 2-day split and leave your other days for density, sprints, and gpp.

Entrance music = "Do you really want to hurt me?" by the Culture Club or "Bad Blood" by Ministry.

Ministry has some good stuff. "Just One Fix" would be good.

I'd go with Leper if the intro weren't so slow. Lava might do it though.

I used to walk out to "Taylor Made" by the Real McKenzies. ....'"

SHUT UP!
I was going to suggest Real McKenzie as well. I didn't know anybody else knew them really. The singer in my old band sings on "Mainland". Those guys are wicked live!

Yeah man I caught them at the Opera House in Toronto with Rise Against annnnd the Mad Caddies. Rela McKenzie's stole the show, though, great live act

Yep, saw em a few times too. I'm currently downloading Loch'd and Loaded, Oot and Aboot, and Clash of the Tartans. Whiskey, Scotch, Whiskey!

Did I ever tell you guys about the guy I almost crushed to death? A friend on mine had gotten into it with a bully in school. I was about 12-13 in this story, so around 250-265 lbs and had already started lifting and hitting the heavybag, although with absolutely no routine.
Anyway, my friend was over at my house, and this kid who was picking on him took his bike that was parked outside and had his older brother run over it with his car. The kid then started banging on my door, calling my friend out. Since it was my house, I took it upon myself to correct him.
I can only imagine what he thought when I flung the door open, and grabbed him by either side of his head and squeezed as hard as I could. I kept squeezing until he started to cry and was laying on the ground. He was still laying there, crying, when I closed the door.
Ahh. Memories.

Hm...don't recall that story. Interesting.

Wow, that's pretty heavy at that age, isn't it? Considering you're around 225 now. I bet kids knew better than to mess with you...hopefully. You started lifting and such around that time, or perhaps even earlier?

AHAHAHAHAHA!!! For some reason I laughed fucking hard at this post.

For entrance, I reccomend:

"Turn the Page" - by Seger or Metallica
"Shipping off to Boston" - I know you like that one... good entrance song, IMO.
"Under Pressure" - Queen

My 2 cents.

I was 290 just a couple of years ago. I matured fast.
Mustache at 11
Beard at 13
Started going bald at 16
Began smoking at 8, quit when I was 10 to begin drug use. Quit drugs at 13 and started smoking again. Quit when I was 15, started again in college. Began drinking at 19-20. Random hallucinagens for a while, settled on Salvia D and booze as my drugs of choice.

Hm, I'm such a late-bloomer...I didn't start drinking or doing any other stuff until around 21.
