Finnegan's Wake

...wait a minute...you jogged? I don't think I've ever heard you doing that, you usually sprint. Although I imagine sprinting with a sauna suit = not so great results.

Well, I never rake the yard either, so it just kinda one of those days.

HAHA, I was thinking the same thing.

Ya man, in my limited experience most people don't have to much problem dropping a few. You're also very knowledgeable nutrition wise, and this is very helpful I think.

Fuck I'm stoked for your fight. I wish there was a live feed or something, I'd grab a 6er and watch for sure.

I'm also stealing your workout from yesterday morning for mine tomorrow.

I'll have it up online that night. Think of it like a Pride event.

On another note, what should my walk out music be? Shipping Up to Boston, Barroom Hero, (both by Dropkick Murphys) or Illumination, the Rollins song from my 600 lbs deadlift vid?

Intervals:
Tabata Protocol 4 four minute rounds, one interval (30 seconds) rest between rounds
Rd 1: Jump rope (sprint in place, high knees)
Rd 2: Sledgehammer (10 lbs)
Rd 3: Jump Rope
Rd 4: Sledgehammer

Tabata heavybag punches (1-2's, 1-2-3's, hooks, overhands)
x four minutes

I like this alternating between jump rope and sledgehammer and using tabatas.

^^^
That's why I'm stealing it.

Walk Out Music - I thought it would be a bigger deal, but the first time I didn't even pay attention, I was zoned in so much on the fight.
Dropkick Murphys is cool, they have pipes? Can't go wrong with bagpipes.
Rollins is good shit too. Personally I like more thematic music, but whatever gets ya going.

Songs I've used:
Becoming -Pantera
Woodpecker from Mars - FNM
Fucking in the Bushes (the song from Snatch when Mickey fights at the End)
And I wanted Serj for my last fight, but the dude played
War Nerve - Pantera

Hmm. Maybe I'll go with my original plan and have them play "The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot, or "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane.

I dunno Finn, Dropkick Murphys would be good I think. And ya Sonny, anything by Pantera will do the trick.

Though now I think of it, "White Rabbit" would be kinda cool. You really only get the first minute or so of the song, depending on how far the walk is.

Yeah, White Rabbit would be good, kind of an erie tone to it.

I actually liked it when Monson came out to John Lennon's Imagine. It was like the calm before the storm (that never happened).

My copy is corrupted. I keep downloading the same shitty version that won't burn onto a disc. Data Piracy doesn't pay.

If you wanted, I can put the song on my computer and send it via MSN or something. Edit: I already have it on.

man, i vote for the oasis song
Only shitty thing is it IS an Oasis song. Still pretty cool coming down to it though.

Not a fan huh? I like their first three records and saw them live a couple of times. The first time was when they left after 10 minutes because people kept throwing shit at them.

Nope. And Vancouver is weird that way. I remember Eminem replaced Cypress Hill and got booed of stage at the Warp Tour. That was before he was famous though. Half those people probably paid $100 to go see him the next time he came around.

Fin, you ever consider straight bagpipes?

Nah. I don't dig the "Roddy Piper" feel of just pipes. I'll probably decide the day of the fight.

White Rabbit would be so fucking bad ass.

Finn, I've been meaning to ask you, when you were on II, how much strength did you lose? I'm thinking of finally doing the 50 day program, but don't want to lose the strength I've gained the past year.

I used to walk out to Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult. Great song.

I used others, but that one the most.

I used to walk out to "Taylor Made" by the Real McKenzies. Also, "On The Road Again" by Canned Heat, and Dylan's version of "In My Time Of Dyin'"

I don't know much of Western music...

The raking I thought was different too, but instead I thought you're a lucky bastard 'cause it meant you have no snow and it wasn't too cold out...

*hates snow*
