Finnegan's Wake

I used to drive a '93 Cavalier. I'm 6'4 and weighed almost 250 lbs at that time, I could only imagine what I looked like in that thing. Getting laid in the backseat was a task in itself.

Sam Adams Pub Ale ftw! We're going to rock out with our cocks out.

It's barely more than a one day drive round trip Lusst.

It's only a 60 hour round trip for me. With the price of gas at about 20 mpg.....it should only cost me $74.37 (including tax, beef jerky and road beers).

I am teh math whiz.

Okay, so we got Maker's Mark, Sam Adam's Pub Ale, Bushmill's so far. All sounding good.

Morning Conditioning:
Stolen Wholesale from Brock Lesnar's routine on All Access:

3 three minute rounds/ 1 minute rest:

Rd 1: Jumping Jacks (10 turns normal, 10 sprint in place for three minutes)

Rd 2: Tire push/ Row (Tire was full of water from the storms, so approx 115-125 lbs)

Rd 3: One handed 16lbs sledgehammer swings x 130 (alternated hands every 5 swings)

Impressions:
Well, the tire push/ row was far more brutal than I thought it would be. The rowing was easy, but the pushing it across concrete sucked major ass.
I'm pleased w/ the sledging. If anyone tries this, Make sure the hammer is always rebounding toward the centerline of the body, that makes the momentum work in your favor.

My best friend's girlfriend in high school (now his wife) had a hatchback geo metro. 3 cylinder. It was a gutless wonder. We piled 9 people into that thing one day while skipping school.

My dad had a '92 Geo Metro 4-door hatch when I got my license... It was good to drive in snow, and was good to deliver pizza in (woulda been better if we actually got more delivery orders...), but yeah, that thing had no get up and go.

So is Finny's fight gonna be the first true St. W's get together?

Geo metro good in snow? My Festiva is stuck if we get 2". Then again, it only has 12" tires...
As far as good local brew, there is a good place called Sports Time that is run by Communists (seriously, they have a huge mural of Lenin in the back room) that makes some really good stuff. Arrogant Bastard Ale is good.
Also, my chiropractor brews his own IPAs and Oatmeal stouts. I'll see if he can drop by.

Word. The label is hilarious if you read the fine print.

True that.

I lol'ed. The label sold it, I'll pick up a 6 pack tonight.

Yeah sportstime = newalbanian

those were the links I posted

when are you mauling someone

Tires on the Metro couldn'ta been any bigger. I lost right-of-way at any 4-way stop if there was another vehicle. Yeah, it did pretty good in the snow though, bein' front wheel drive.

Ahh. I didn't know that that was the Brewery portion's name. I'll drop by there in a couple of weeks and see what I can find.

I have a pint glass that i managed to not break all through college from arrogant bastard ale... never knew where it was from.

Don't forget Unibroue beers, best shit ever. Nothing like a Maudite to bring you down to earth, literally.

Kickboxing

Bagwork:
100 low kicks (50 each leg)
100 sideways knees (50 each side)
100 low kicks/ mid kicks (50 each side)
100 forward thrusting knees (50 each side)
100 low kicks/ high kicks (50 each side)
50 push kicks (25 each leg)
25 spinning back kicks (right leg)

Impressions:
Rest was minimal, no more than a minute, but I wasn't really pushing for cardio on this. This was a technique session.
Really focused on turning the hip over on the low kicks and hitting full power on everything. On the sideways angled knees (as in, coming directly horizontal in the clinch) do you turn your opposite foot like when kicking?
