Finization bonuses

Here is my idea: The UFC should create a new bonus "finalization bonuses". Every fighter on the card who finish his fight (sub or KO) would win a bonus of 15K. This would be totally apart from FOTN and POTN. I think this way almost every fight would be more exciting.

i agree, good idea. This especially could encourage newer/younger fighters to go for the finish to bank extra money, thus making prelims even beetter

i'm ok with it. but it would probably be more costly for the ufc than the sponsorships are from reebok.

I think it would be a good idea. In the days of the old K-1 they had additional bonuses for fighters that finished fights with their "signature move", so guys like Bonjasky would get paid extra for finishing fights by flying knee for example. I think both would be pretty cool.

I like a percentage such as 10% of purse. 15k wouldn't be enough money for some fighters to leave their comfort zone to get a finish

When your job is on the line winning is what is front of mind. The need to continue with your career will always overcome the want for a couple grand.
