Finally Watched the Sopranos

Their dynamic was priceless.

As for bears, I say get rid of ‘em all. They had their time now we have ours. That’s why the dinosaurs are extinct.

I thought it was a meteor.

They’re all meat-eaters.

METEOR! METEOR!

Take it easy!
Little Carmine trying to sound smart was also one of the funniest moments of the show.

Did the same a few months ago. Hadn't seen it since it ended. I forgot how funny it was, great series.

Watching The Wire right now and one thing that really stands out about both series is how episodes just end and fade to black. Its nice to not have every episode end on a cliff hanger hoping you click on the next one.

People say it doesn't hold up with time, but I disagree. I thought Breaking Bad was the show that goes downhill a bit with each watch.
I just rewatched Sopranos with my wife, who had never seen it, and it definitely holds up.

I couldn’t even get through two episodes of Breaking Bad when I tried to watch it like 8 years ago. Idk why, but it just wasn’t at all interesting to me.

The sopranos and the shield are the 2 big shows I have yet to see.

Outside of walking dead and game of thrones, but I heard the later seasons suck so I'll never even bother starting those.

Sopranos is the only drama you can watch on repeat (is order or random episodes) and maintains it's appeal. The writing and story telling are just so smooth. Every episode just keeps a perfect pace. Only thing I do skip (and I have season the entire series well over half a dozen times) are the dream sequences.

That guy Borko on YT is doing God's work with Sopranos and The Wire clips.

Hahah I feel like we all known a guy who spoke like a fuckin idiot but in a setting where we couldnt say shit about it.

Goes with everything else, you gotta consume and fast, and then go onto the next one, fuckin' binge watching.

The Wire and The Sopranos, you wanted to watch the next episode but at the same time you wanted to give it time to digest what you've just seen and think about it.
Everything was so damn good, writing, acting, dialogues etc. GOAT shows.

You know, if I have one complaint about the show it’s that they never made it clear if Phil ever served time in prison, and if he did, then we were definitely left wondering for how long.
I coulda sworehe said 20 years??

Pauly and Christopher and the GOAT comedic duo

Pine Barrens is the best episode lol
They said Tony Sirico was basically real life Paulie... so dude basically acted like himself. Which was fucking awesome.

This scene still gives me chills many years after I watched the first time. the writing, the acting, everything... Imperioli is so fucking underrated as an actor. I wish he would have done more movies.

BTW this is Tony Sirico years before the Sopranos:

Fantastic show, I also just recently finally watched it 2 years ago. Season 3 was my favorite.

I think Wire is clearly better, and I would personally place Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul both above it… but it’s right there. I actually think most of the final season was a massive drag - but the last several episodes were some of the strongest of the show.

It’s already mentioned in this thread but the three main antagonists were so well done. Richie, Ralph and Phil stole every scene they were in.

Season 5 of The Wire is actively bad. The first 3 seasons are incredible. Season 4 is very good but no on the level of 1-3.

Sopranos is amazing for all 6 seasons.
