well, funny thing is, after that whole saga, i stopped following mma for a while because i became very disillusioned with it. then i realized that the whole world is fucking rigged. politics, business, entertainment, etc.—everything. winners and losers are almost always chosen by a club of powerful insiders. so now im disillusioned about everything. on the bright side, mma doesn’t seem so corrupt anymore, and i can finally enjoy it again.

conor’s lw title fight vs alvarez. his whole run really seemed fishy to me, starting with brandao. i know lots of people will disagree with me on that, but it just seemed fake and predetermined. right or wrong, i did not see the greatness others were seeing, and it instead appeared to me that his opponents were taking dives. don’t flame, that’s just my opinion. anyway, i believed that whoever held the lw belt (whether it was rda, alvarez, or someone else) would continue this tradition, and that the fight would end with a weird looking ko. never saw the fight, so i don’t know how it looked. i did see the first nate fight though, and it kinda of confirmed by suspicion because nate seems too unreliable to bring into a scheme like that.

Wanderlei Silva vs Rampage Jackson 4

One of my favorite rivalry ever. The story of the young cocky fighter getting his confidence destroyed three times by Wanderlei and his pupil Shogun. At the time, Rampage is that guy that is quite good but not elite, he will always build confidence by beating contender but always fall short against the top dog. Then the UFC run, beat the champion of both UFC and Pride, finally he is the top dog ! Lost it in a poor fight against another "not quite elite" fighter. Then the 3rd Wanderlei fight : vindicated. Wandy didn't allow him to be Pride champion, then Rampage will destroy his hope of UFC belt.

I will never watch the fourth fight, what's the point ? Wandy is old as shit, Rampage is not a contender anymore, there's no point, of course Rampage was going to KO him...

Rampage v Wand 3- I saw it when it happened but won’t watch it again. As a big fan of Wand I don’t like seeing him lose but that isn’t the issue here; the way he went out cold and then the sickening shots he absorbed from Page after he was as unconscious on the canvas with the ref trying to hold him back turned my stomach. It shows up in basically every Ko compilation and I intentionally skip past it.

I’ll never rewatch Volk vs KZ or Gaethje vs Tony. That was just hard to see - great guys getting murdered like in slow motion. I was just waiting for the ref to stop the maiming.

It’s always hard to see younger guys who themselves aren’t even world beaters feast off the corpses of our favorites. Every once in a while though you get that Big Nog circumstance that makes us rejoice for a moment which is nice.

I won’t watch 7/10 UFC cards nowadays because they are terrible and watered down. Like tonight’s UFN card with Andrade vs some random chick as the main event? Miller vs Hernandez might be fun though, the rest I have no clue who they are.
