I don't like colbyImagine calling and hating on Izzy for point fighting....and then having the biggest Decisionator as your A.V..
Lmfao ..OH sherdog never change
Any Fedor fight
Actually this is pretty true... I usually pause go do a chore then fast forward most wmma fights except like valentina, Jessica Andrade, Nunes, Rose, Zhang? I think that's it... oh I guess Dern is a little exciting.WMMA
Did you just say chuck was "in his prime" as a newbie with only 2 fights!? Lmao wtf.... 30 fights vs 2... and the guy with 2 was "in his prime"Anderson's broken leg fight.
The OP mentioned Chuck Liddell. I happened to be watching Dean Lister fights on YouTube yesterday and there was the Chuck Liddell vs. Jeremy Horn fight to the right. I hardly missed any fights back in those days, but I missed that one. That was like prime Chuck and the result was pretty shocking. Horn choked him completely out.
I didn't look up how many fights he had at the time, but he didn't look like some young kid and he was in great shape. Still fun to watch, unless your a Chuck nutrider.Did you just say chuck was "in his prime" as a newbie with only 2 fights!? Lmao wtf.... 30 fights vs 2... and the guy with 2 was "in his prime"
you know chuck fought Horn in his prime and he battered him right??
That's like never eating a Filet Mignon or a fresh lobster tail.Never seen a fedor or shogun fight
Justine Kish vs Felice Herrig.........We all must have fights we will never or refuse to watch for our own reasons. As fight fans, I’m sure we have allowed our bias to control us at one point or another. I’m sure some would deny it, but it’s inevitable. That’s where my selection comes in.
For me, the number one fight that comes to mind is actually not a highly recognized one like say a title fight. It is Chuck Liddell vs. Keith Jardine. I have never seen it, and I never will. I started watching MMA because of Chuck Liddell around 2005, (TUF noob if you will) and have been hooked ever since. His horrible fall was a hard one to watch, and I made excuses along the way. Looking back, I realize he started to lose a step after his rubber match win against Randy, but it wasn’t so clear to me at the time. (Bias still going strong suggesting he lost a step rather than just being bested)
Chuck vs. Babalu 2 - Sure, he got clipped a bit early, but he recovered fast and made Babalu pay in under 2 minutes! That’s what you get when you rush a counter striker like Chuck.
Chuck vs. Tito 2 - Sure, Chuck was a little sloppy and got tagged a lot, but that’s because he had zero respect for Tito’s striking. He walked through everything and finished him in the end…
Chuck vs. Rampage 2 - alright, he got caught.. not a lot happened and he went for an ill advised body shot. Rampage caught him and that’s it. Chuck won’t do the same in a third fight, let’s see it!
Chuck vs. Jardine - Easy tune up fight, I’m busy that night though so I’ll catch it later. “Chuck is susceptible to leg kicks though and Jardine dishes them out well.” No. Chuck isn’t getting beat by Keith Jardine. Only a hater would pick Jardine. (I remember posting this on a different forum) … Chuck drops a split. Those leg kicks really took their toll after all I guess. I was wrong. Well, not watching that one..
That fight sucked by default. I will never watch it. Jardine was a spoiler on Chuck’s comeback and it led to one of the greatest UFC declines we have seen from a top fighter. Yikes. At least I got to see Chuck beat Silva before his chin completely digressed.
Anyways, long rant over. Just wanted to put a lot of context into what fight fits the bill for me, but what about you sherbros? What is a fight you will never/refuse to watch if there are any? Or is that petty to you, and you will always gladly watch all despite the victor because you are a “true” fight fan?
conor’s lw title fight vs alvarez. his whole run really seemed fishy to me, starting with brandao. i know lots of people will disagree with me on that, but it just seemed fake and predetermined. right or wrong, i did not see the greatness others were seeing, and it instead appeared to me that his opponents were taking dives. don’t flame, that’s just my opinion. anyway, i believed that whoever held the lw belt (whether it was rda, alvarez, or someone else) would continue this tradition, and that the fight would end with a weird looking ko. never saw the fight, so i don’t know how it looked. i did see the first nate fight though, and it kinda of confirmed by suspicion because nate seems too unreliable to bring into a scheme like that.We all must have fights we will never or refuse to watch for our own reasons. I'm not even a chuck fan lol just like calling out when people say ridiculously incorrect shit.I didn't look up how many fights he had at the time, but he didn't look like some young kid and he was in great shape. Still fun to watch, unless your a Chuck nutrider.
Chuck was born in 1969 and the fight with Horn was in 1999. He started doing martial arts in 1981. You want to see ridiculous, look in the fucking mirror.I'm not even a chuck fan lol just like calling out when people say ridiculously incorrect shit.
