Fighting Nerds best club ever?

They're very interesting. But we just have to give them time before saying anything. Longevity is key

So they started training MMA at AKA? Good, glad we settled it.
I like to provoke a reaction from stupid Americans. Only Nova Uniao, Chute, Abdulmanap, Roufusport and Elevation can compare with them. The main criteria of the best club must be whether they originally come from there and whether they have stylistically different fighters. ATT is the biggest franchise of fighters, but people come there for sparring, they don't come from there. These clubs serve as a test of how far you are and to take some 5-10% of the things you lack in terms of supplementation, losing weight, sparring, timing your form, etc...

So you're saying that the AKA club doesn't count, because they didn't originate from AKA..

Cool

Mauricio Ruffy - Started training at 14 with his uncle, who was kickboxing teacher. Became a bodyguard to a Chinese business, so he lived and trained at that guy's gyms in Taiwan, before moving to Sao Paulo to train.

Caio Borralho - Started in Judo with Sensei Emílio Moreira. Then he moved to BJJ. Then he moved to Muay Thai. THEN he moved to Sao Paulo

Carlos Prates - Began training Muay Thai at 15 years old at Vale Top Team in Sao Paulo. Still goes there, but also trains with the Fighting Nerds.

Jean Silva - Started training back in 2009, well before the Fighting Nerds gym existed.

Please do tell me more about origins. I guess AKA is just AKA, but Brazil is EVERYWHERE in Brazil? I don't know the rules, as a stupid American.

DC and Cain competes on serious wrestling stage, MMA it's new sport, like I say Abdulmanap only has origin products. Isn't same to have some like Nickal with that level of wrestling and kid who know to punch jab...

I feel like you've ignored the point.

DC and Cain had serious wrestling, but they weren't training in MMA, so they began training MMA professionally at the same location.

The Fighting Nerds ALSO began training in their own arts at different locations, some of them even beginning professional MMA training elsewhere and competing professionally in those other sports before getting into the Fighting Nerds, so they're not origin either then.

You're only bringing up origin in detraction for AKA, but not applying it to the Nerds

I said only Abdulmanap has origin MMA products. If we compare Fighting Nerds and AKA.

AKA definetly has more achiemvents and better fighters overall, but I don't give too many credit to AKA for their skills... While vice versa for Fighting Nerds.

They have zero championships and only Borralho has a single top 5 win. They look like they could be making some legit top fighters but they still are not proven at that level. Best team ever is a massive overstatement.

I don't understand what's being missed here. The fighting nerds fought professionally before they came together. That means, by your standards, they did not originate.

You are saying vice versa but not defending vice versa

I said what I say. Isn't same to have DC and kid who know to do double leg. Look at the progress of both since they joined the club.

Come on, what he is saying is clear- he don't give too many credit to AKA, and he give many credit to Fighting Nerds. <lol>

Fighting nerds come from lower origins you could argue but that doesn't make AKA any less of a gym.

DC, and especially Cain, also had to progress with their grappling and progress WORLDS with their striking.

And the Nerds (AGAIN, IN CASE YOU DIDN'T READ IT THE FIRST 2 TIMES) trained and fought at a professional level in other sports AND MMA beforehand.

They are, by no definition and especially yours, origins.

Success can be attributed to the club when it makes someone a fighter, not someone who is an Olympic medalist, keeps him focused and gives him a piece of meat for sparring. But in America, everything is trivialized because you are dumb.
It's definitely not the best club, but it has the potential to be. I like to have slightly paradoxical views in order to provoke a reaction and create a discussion. But AKA cannot be compared to any of the clubs mentioned above, but it all depends on what criteria we use.

Let's say who do you give the most credit for Tyson's product and skill? D'Amatto, Cordeiro, Atlas?

You like your prominent ones even though you only have generic creation of fighters. If we look at pure success, then it's Tiger Muay Thai and nobody even comes close, but that's out of the question, right? What I agree with is that they come there for sparring and opportunities, as well as in ATT or DC, Cain and Khabib in AKA.

Volk is a product of CKB, he had some coordination advantage over the others, due to the fact that he comes from rugby, but then again, maybe that's a percentage of what happens in MMA. That's why you can't compare a DC who was an Olympic class wrestler with someone who hits the sack temporarily.

Fighting Nerds is far better for me than all those generic clubs. It is definitely not the best, but it has the potential to become top 5 in the near future. Nova Uniao, Chute, CKB, Abdulmanap, even Roufusport had everything needed to be a good club and better but you said generic club like AKA.

You like to take something literally, to take it out of context. Your dad was not in every segment of your life but he managed to put you on the right path, or your father who has never seen you and now that you are 25 years old and the company says that he led you on the right path. Do you understand point?
You Americans like to do that, take Tesla's ideas and copy them to financiers and out all credits their... JP Morgan.

Cain wasn't an olympic gold medalist. He was a college wrestler, but you are still disqualifying him for being at a "high level."

You are ignoring that the Nerds trained and competed professionally in MMA before they became the nerds while criticizing the AKA crew, despite the fact AKA is where they started MMA.

You're arguing that you can ignore that because of the increase in skill level the Nerds got training together, but you ignore the increase in skill level AKA got training together.

It is you who is trivializing.

It is you who are the dumb

You know it's 2024 when the jocks are getting beat up by a bunch of nerds. The times have changed. Out is in. Up is down. Bats are bugs. Gay is masculine, Straight is gay. All the cool kids aren't doing it and we're all old.

I never understood clinging to ideas that make no sense. No matter how many times someone explains that it makes no sense, they somehow rationalize why they are still right.

The new team Alpha male. Even the name of the team. Just because you put on dorky glasses makes you a nerd lol.

No. Bias Americans can't see true.
In AKA fighters coming only for sparring like Khabib, who is completed fighter but AKA gives him more confidence in boxing and little better technique. I criticizing AKA in way level of fighters who coming there to train in relate of other clubs. Tiger Muay Thai, Phuket, ATT has more achievements than AKA and have the same structure.

1. Nova Uniao
2. Abdulmanap
3. Tristar Gym
4. Chute Boxing / MMA LAB
5. Elevation
6. CKB
7. Roufusport
8. Fighting Nerds
9. All Stars
10. 365 Knocks

AKA, ATT, Tiger Muay Thai, Phuket are not into top20.
