Found out my school has a mvc2 arcade cabinet along with 3rd strike and two sf4 cabinets
Too bad they were turned off when I stumbled upon them

was roundhouse a big name back in the day for MvC2? i only really know the names of Jwong, PR Balrog, Filipino champ, Chris G, Yipes and that's more on MvC3

Not sure. I knew of some names like Jwong, Yipes, Santhrax, SooMighty, Cl0ckwork, and DucVader (NASTY Spiral), but didn't keep up with that shit.

Also, who are some the biggest name players you all have faced online or in person?

The last one I face offline was RIP years ago in Tekken of course (maybe the best Law in America at one point). That Law was fucking ridiculous and I only beat him once, heh. Instant slides and flips and of course the magic 4s.

I've played some really good NRS player in my MK days. Played some friendlys with Grrr and Buffalo at ECT and took a few games off them and eliminated Cosner in tournament. I got match up with a lot of high level player online in the Injustice 2 days. Honeybee, nubcakes, Sooneo, and Big D are a few I played a bit.

There's been more for MVC2 iirc. 25k, maybe a 50k as well.

I prefer MVC2 even though it's hilariously unbalanced, but it's ridiculously fun.

I really, really hope they do a Strive version of Dragon Ball FighterZ. i don't care for 3v3 at all-- i like 1v1.


For a niche series, Strive is having success but DBFZ is filling the void of MVC2 so i doubt they will.

I can get Fightcade to work with no issues but could never figure out how to get Fightcade 2 working
I just assume it has something to do with the roms

It probably is, but I downloaded this rompack which will automatically download the needed rom when I enter the lobby.

The problem with fightcade 1 is that most players don't use it anymore. The last time I checked, there were only about 20 players in 3rd Strike and that's pretty sad.

Yep, it was pretty dead when I played over the weekend.
