Fighting Games Discussion

Anyone going to any of the majors for the SF6 era? I'm locked in for CEO and Evo, can't wait, massive hype!

As long as there's no doodoo tier at play, I'm taking a long look towards Dhalsim. The new tools (air fireball, fireball bounce behind them, teleport not locked after moves, etc) seem like the final stage of dominance for him unless there are some incredibly massive nerfs we will find on release. If he ends up being super trash for some reason, I'll probably just go back to Cammy again for the umpteenth time.

JP intrigues me, but tbh he looks like he's gonna be kinda garbage at first glance unless he ends up with super amazing frame data or something.

None of this is true though, because by CEO the game will only be a few weeks old, so for maximum ability to win, I'll have no choice but to play Guile and Juri/Chun for the tournament, because of, um, reasons.

I might go to a few if there some in the so cal area. Hell, might even make it to EVO providing I take the fam along.

I feel like Evo is almost a can't miss this year with SF6 hitting the main stage so if there's one major to go to that one is it!

Gotta be something crazy. JeBailey said he was looking to cap SF6 at 1600 in our CEO chat so Evo could potentially hit 6400 I'm guessing. Crazy.

Top 6 just doesn't sit right with me. I personally think it's a bad call. I like most of the games on the line up. KOF is such a fun game to watch. Wish I got into it because it looks like a blast to play. You and I used to jam on FightingEX Layer, that seems similar.

For a while there I got really into SF5. At my height I was going to locals on weekends and entered a few tournaments. Ended up 4-2 at EVO and made it out of pools. But, I was dating an alcoholic who was passed out a lot and I didn't have a kid. Now I have a family with another little one due in a little over a month so my grinding days are probably on hold until SF7 or so. I get maybe a few hours of play a week unfortunately.

Will def root my Sherdog bros on though!

Heh, I don't remember that, but KOF and EX Layer are pretty different. Both are good and you won't have a hard time finding 3 mains in KOF.

Must have been someone else then. I remember playing with someone from Sherdog for a brief bit.
